
Account Executive

To help us meet our goals, we are scaling our Sales Team and looking for people who share our core values and have an entrepreneurial mindset. Our team is remote and this position may reside in the U.S. or Canada.
As an Account Executive, you will be a critical member of the ShipHero Fulfillment Sales Team as you are a key driver of our growth leveraging consultative selling strategies to support brands. This role is solely focused on driving new business by managing and growing client relationships. Working with our Marketing, Client Support, Onboarding, and Product teams, you will own the entire sales cycle from opportunity qualification to closing; including discovery, proposal development and contract negotiation.
You are responsible for understanding a brand's fulfillment needs and determining whether those needs align to the ShipHero Fulfillment solutions. You will receive inbound leads from Marketing but the primary function of this role is to hunt via outbound methods. We sell to C-level executives, founders, eCommerce & logistics department leads. You must understand how to manage a book of business like it’s your own company and to take initiative in leading prospective deals internally.

You'll be responsible for building revenue by partnering with high-growth eCommerce brands.
Key responsibilities
Manage the full sales cycle by using a consultative, relationship-driven approach to win new business through sales "hunting" activity. Develop new fulfillment opportunities through outbound sales efforts, managing your sales funnel, and winning deals with enterprise level eCommerce brands.
Build & execute strategic pipeline plans to generate new business with prospective brands. Create and maintain relationships through multiple touch points including calls, emails, on-site visits, and social media.
Recommend solutions based on potential brand’s needs by using industry knowledge to demonstrate the value of ShipHero’s services.
Give demos, virtual presentations, or in-person presentations to potential merchants.
Travel to prospective brand sites on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis as needed, up to 50% of the time.
Participation in industry events such as trade shows and seminars as needed to generate leads.
Create account based marketing (ABM) plans in conjunction with the Marketing Team.
Creation of sales plan, and being able to talk about how to hit revenue quota by tactics.
Expertly guide our prospective clients by becoming a ShipHero fulfillment & software expert.
Update and maintain data in CRM and other applications on all leads/prospects/contacts/activity, etc. Own your forecast and be accountable for providing accurate business updates to our internal business, while keeping activities and deal updates current in our CRM.
Qualifications
3+ years of outbound sales experience & closing large eCommerce logistics deals at a 3PL, fulfillment center, or courier.
High level of comfort selling complex deals with a mixture of ShipHero fulfillment and software solutions.
History of meeting or exceeding targets at current and past companies.
High level of detail, professionalism and follow-through/ follow-up.
Must be a team player, willing collaborator, and courteous .
University degrees are not required - curiosity, self-driven learning, passion and self management are important though.
The ability to independently curate and manage a sales funnel within our CRM.
The ability to be a problem solver for prospects.
Someone that understands eCommerce platforms, eCommerce brands and their needs.
Nice to have: Excel and PowerPoint skills (or Google Sheets / Google Slides).
Experience working in a CRM, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or other related applications.
Past relationships and network.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to interact with technical and business counterparts both within and outside the company.
