Manager, Product Design

Storable is hiring a Manager, Product Designer (Consumer) to join our growing UI/UX Product Design team. In this role, you'll lead, mentor, and support a team of talented designers while occasionally rolling up your sleeves to design user experiences yourself. Your group of Designers will focus on our consumer products that drive users through a conversion funnel. 

Our global team of designers—spanning the U.S., Australia, and India—plays a critical role in shaping B2B and B2B2C SaaS products that power storage unit rentals, campground access, and marina management. What You Will Do Every Day: 

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of UI/UX designers, fostering their growth and career development 

  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and retaining top design talent to strengthen the team

  • Manage workload distribution for assigned products, collaborating with stakeholders to turn business goals into design deliverables and timelines 

  • Oversee and guide design work, balancing strategic goals with executional excellence to ensure high-quality outcomes 

  • Promote user research and usability testing to validate and improve designs  

  • Shape and drive the overall design vision, ensuring consistency and usability across consumer products 

  • Establish and maintain design standards, processes, and best practices to improve consumer funnel conversion and analytics 

  • Advocate for the right tools and resources to support the design team’s success

  • Foster a team environment that stays on top of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies 

  • Communicate design rationale effectively to leadership and key stakeholders

What You Will Need to Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role

  • A portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in consumer-focused design (required for consideration) 

  • Proficiency in Figma 

  • Experience building and working within design systems 

  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop a team of designers 

  • Ability to align design efforts with business goals and user needs 

  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload distribution, priorities, and timelines ● Ability to present and advocate for design decisions to stakeholders and leadership ● Passion for creating a fun and engaging team culture 

Preferred Bonus Points: 

  • Experience with website builders (e.g., Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, Elementor) and ecommerce marketplaces (e.g., AirBNB, Expedia, Zillow, Ubereats, Wayfair) 

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and accessibility standards 

  • Basic understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)

The compensation we will offer for this role is within this range and is based on our internal budget along with your skills and experience level.
