Sr DevOps Engineer W/ Backend Engineering

About the Role:

As Senior DevOps Engineer (w/ backend engineering), you will be part of our next generation of Platform development. This platform will drive our APIs, Standardization, Integrations, Workflows; and also enable new data structures, data insights and analytics. You will influence our observability posture, advance monitoring across our tier 1 services and standardize logging. You can dig into backend code when needed; and be able to solve backend problems. You will be part of the team leading the Platform transformation at TeamSense. 


  • Define and configure SLO, SLIs and Error budgets for critical services

  • Enable observability posture with READS metrics

  • Lead and own automation of alerts, monitoring across TeamSense Platform.

  • Understand backend architecture; drive standardization to our backend/API logs

  • Drive cost-to-serve projections and infra improvements

  • Prior experience supporting high-scale services is a huge plus

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in System Administration and at least 2+ years experience in Azure or AWS

  • Experience working with Azure, Redis, Postgres, Mongo

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Terraform

  • Working knowledge of Rest APIs

  • Well-versed with Python or Golang

  • Deep knowledge of Linux and Unix

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter and likes the challenge of transformational projects 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical field

Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $190,000
