Job Description:
As a Mid-Level PHP Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our digital offerings. You will be instrumental in building upon our custom WordPress stack, utilizing tools such as Composer and PSR-4 PHP autoloading, and working with databases like Redis and MySQL.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement new features on our custom WordPress stack.
* Optimize performance across our backend and frontend stack.
* Contribute to product analytics solutions, utilizing feedback from logging and debugging services for troubleshooting and improvements.
* Collaborate effectively with engineers, researchers, executives, and designers.
* Communicate development progress and collaborate across the Product & Engineering team.
* Address engineering challenges creatively and effectively.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of PHP development experience.
* Familiarity with modern PHP tooling and best practices.Proficiency in working with Composer, PSR-4 PHP autoloading, Redis, and MySQL.
* Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks.
* Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.
* Proficient with Git in a collaborative environment (e.g., GitHub).
* Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.Experience with Agile development practices, including code reviews and pair programming.
* Knowledge of software design patterns and responsive web frameworks.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with digital assets, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technologies.
* Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Domo, Tableau).
* Experience with Docker, Vagrant, or similar development environment platforms.
