Interim Operations Lead / Integrator (4-Week Contract โ€” Starts Immediately)

Company: TheFutureSociety โ€” a profitable, founder-led startup approaching its one-year anniversary next month. We operate three brands: The Tarot Ship (291K YouTube subscribers), Great Awakener (premium livestream membership platform), and MAX: Your Virtual Oracle Gateway, the world's first predictive AI platform that integrates a user's birth chart โ€” launched four weeks ago to immediate traction.

Who we are: A lean, remote team of five โ€” ops/creative lead, engineer, partnerships manager, writer/researcher, and support. We're not a corporation with layers; we're a fast-moving startup that grew faster than its org chart. This role exists because our permanent fractional Head of Operations starts early August, and we need a senior operator to run the day-to-day between now and then. Your job is to hold the ship steady, tighten the systems, hand off clean โ€” and protect the founder's time.

Engagement: Fractional, 20-25 hours/week. Fixed-term from immediate start through August 6, 2026. Hard stop โ€” your final deliverable is a clean handoff package for our incoming permanent Head of Operations. Remote โ€” US or Latin America.

Compensation: $6,000โ€“$8,000 flat for the full engagement, paid weekly, final payment released on handoff delivery. 1099 contractor. NDA + IP assignment signed before any system access.

Reports to: Founder/CEO. The mandate is simple: the Founder steps fully out of operations for four weeks. You run it; he creates.

Responsibilities:

  • Team oversight: Coordination, accountability across 6-person team; daily async check-ins with our contractors and vendors; overseeing campaigns and launch of membership perks program late July; weekly written status to the Founder; enforce documentation, logged work from everyone, especially any tech bugs/fixes

  • Partnerships continuity: our Partnerships Manager is on reduced availability for three weeks; he's left a live pipeline doc (brand and talent) and sends updates twice weekly โ€” you keep his active deals warm and moving, prepare and redline any necessary contracts; escalate decisions to the Founder only when needed

  • Hiring: recruit and onboard (with our ops/creative lead) one combined Social Media Lead/Video Editor/Livestream Moderator using our established four-step hiring funnel; scope, shortlist a Meta Ads freelancer/agency for Founder decision

  • Payroll and contractor payments on schedule (Gusto, ACH โ€” all already set up)

  • Protect recurring revenue operations: oversee the failed-payment recovery workstream, cancellation saves, and checkout integrity

  • Handoff package: SOPs, contractor roster, open items, metrics baseline

You're right for this if: You've operated a subscription, membership, creator-economy, or DTC digital business; you've managed small distributed contractor teams; you're fluent in Stripe and email automation; you can start within 2-3 business days; you're OK to hop in on a weekend should anything arise; and you find a four-week "own everything, leave it better, hand off clean" sprint energizing rather than daunting.
