Summary

The Modern People Leader (MPL) is a fast-growing media company in the HR space. As the CEO, I’m looking for a Growth & Ops Coordinator to support our team with administrative and operational tasks. My goal is to find someone I can mentor, train, and eventually hand off more responsibility to as they grow into the role.

You’ll gain firsthand experience in podcast production, B2B sales, client success, marketing, and organic social media on LinkedIn. Plus, we offer 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year.

We’re looking for someone fluent in English with excellent written skills, who is proficient in tools like ChatGPT, Claude, QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Slack, and Vibe coding tools (e.g., Loveable, Claude Code, etc).

  • Our core team includes me (the CEO), my co-host, a Growth & Ops Manager, a podcast editor, and a few contractors handling bookkeeping and legal.

About the Role

We’re hiring because MPL is growing quickly, and I need additional support to keep up. You’ll be trained on any areas where you may lack experience, and we’ll equip you with the skills to succeed. This is a great opportunity to learn directly from the CEO and gain exposure to various aspects of running a media company.

We use tools like Slack, Vibe coding tools (e.g., Loveable, Claude Code, etc), ChatGPT, Google Workspace, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, QuickBooks, and Gusto to manage our operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Finance Operations: Manage invoicing, including creating, sending, and tracking payments.

  • Administrative Support: Update and maintain client and financial trackers.

  • Calendar Management: Coordinate schedules, book meetings, and send calendar invites.

  • Social Media Coordination: Draft and schedule social posts on LinkedIn.

  • Email Communication: Draft and send emails for newsletters, event invites, follow-ups, and guest outreach.

  • Document Management: Duplicate and organize templates for recurring events (e.g., MPL Live).

  • Follow-Up Management: Send follow-up emails to sales prospects, podcast guests, and panelists.

  • General Admin Tasks: Assist with various tasks as needed, maintaining an organized and efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficient with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, QuickBooks, Google Workspace, and Slack.

  • Familiarity with vibe coding software (e.g., Loveable, VO, Claude Code) is a plus.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

Onboarding and Training

You’ll undergo a one-month paid trial to get familiar with the role and our processes. During this time, we’ll assess your fit through a clear, four-point scoring system, with weekly feedback sessions. If successful, the role will convert to a full-time position.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As the CEO, I spend my day recording podcasts, building new products for our audience, taking sales calls, posting on LinkedIn, meeting with clients, reviewing episodes, and managing our editorial calendar. You’ll support me with these tasks and more as you grow in the role.

Hiring Process

  • Paid Trial: One month, starting October 12th.

  • Compensation: $2,500/month + 10 days PTO + potential for growth.
