Finance Controller (Accounting Manager)

Toloka is looking for a Financial Controller/Accounting Manager. The Financial Controller/Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities for the company’s European entities. You will ensure accurate local GAAP reporting, tax and VAT compliance, and support group consolidation and audits. This role combines
technical accounting, operational finance, and cross-border coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly close process for European entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

• Ensure compliance with local GAAP, statutory, and tax regulations (including VAT) across multiple jurisdictions

• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements and liaise with local advisors and auditors

• Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and support transfer pricing documentation

• Coordinate local tax filings and support year-end audit and compliance requirements

• Work closely with US finance team to support group consolidation and reporting under US GAAP

• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies for EU operations

• Support payroll, expense reimbursement, and local treasury processes in coordination
  with HR and external providers

• Assist with ERP integration and automation initiatives to improve financial processes

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA, or local equivalent)

• 5–8+ years of experience in financial accounting, including 2+ years in a multinational or multi-entity environment

• Strong knowledge of European statutory accounting, VAT regulations, and local compliance requirements

• Experience managing cross-border intercompany transactions and working in a group structure

• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, etc)

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across functions and geographies

• Proficient in English
