
Product Designer
Summary
Are you a thoughtful and systems-minded Product Designer looking to create elegant, intuitive experiences that help real people succeed? At Topstep, you’ll play a key role in shaping intuitive, engaging experiences that help traders reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with product and engineering to align around user needs, connect insights to design opportunities, and bring structure and focus to how we build. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the product development lifecycle, balancing creativity with critical thinking and design craft with product impact. Key Responsibilities
Own the design of user flows from discovery through delivery, balancing usability, visual clarity, and technical feasibility
Plan and conduct user research using mixed methods to uncover insights and inform design direction
Build prototypes that help validate ideas, uncover usability issues, and inspire confident decisions
Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, engineers, and QA to ensure design integrity through delivery
Define and track success metrics to evaluate how designs perform in the real world
Present your work with clarity, guiding stakeholders through the problem space and rationale behind your approach
Contribute to a shared design system and raise the bar for craft, consistency, and user impact
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
3–5 years of experience in UX, product design, or interaction design
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across platforms or devices
Experience designing and delivering full product flows, from problem framing to implementation handoff
Proficiency in design tools like Figma, and familiarity with rapid prototyping and testing practices
Experience conducting user research independently and applying findings to improve solutions
Comfort working in cross-functional teams with fast-paced delivery cycles
Clear, compelling communication skills able to synthesize research, articulate rationale, and guide decisions

New Hire Base Salary Range
$112,00-$156,000
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
