The Data organization develops infrastructure, statistical models, and products using IoT data. Our Scientists and Engineers work together to make data—and insights derived from data—a core asset across the company. Our work is ingrained in Tractian’s decision-making process, in the efficiency of our operations and insights, and in the industry-leading experience we provide our consumers.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for making machines more reliable by combining two key shifts in the industry: artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. The intersection of these trends allows Tractian to provide machines with a mechanical nervous system and the awareness to optimize their own health, thereby accelerating human productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for incremental improvements of our data science microservices that capture sensor data to transform it into insights

  • Create and improve new anomaly detection features in vibration spectrum, temperature analysis and energy consumption

  • Improve Python, Numpy and Pandas codes present in the main application today

  • Be prepared to study fourier transforms (FFT) and unsupervised learning models

Requirements

  • 4+ years in Data Science related fields

  • Expert domain of Python and its best practices

  • Solid experience with Pytorch 

  • Advanced in SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Unsupervised learning

  • ML/Ops Kedro MLFlow

Bonus Points

  • Being an excellent Python programmer (pragmatic)

  • Having done some research in the data science area
