Senior People Operations Manager

Tuff is a growth marketing team working with clients to drive growth by creating, managing, measuring, and optimizing high-performing acquisition and conversion campaigns. We’re a fully remote and small team with endless opportunities for autonomy, ownership, and impact.

We are looking for a Senior People Operations Manager to help drive inclusive recruitment of the best talent, coach the team on management and leadership practice, and help navigate and improve our people practices. This position is a key strategic role in the company helping to grow the business and allowing us to build a unique and strong people-oriented culture at Tuff.

Requirements:

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Developing, implementing, and improving people management systems (including onboarding, reviews, and feedback) that help retain a great team.

  • Making sure our people are supported by amazing leaders. You will be partnering with managers and other leaders across Tuff, and directly or indirectly mentoring them on expectations, best practices, and how to get the best outcomes using (and improving) our Manager Standards doc.

  • Overseeing Tuff’s recruiting function. You’re accountable for making sure we bring in great people when we need them. We currently use Workable as our ATS.

  • Evolving our existing strategy for compensation and benefits that aligns employee and company incentives, retains talent, and uses the resources of the company responsibly, in all the places where we operate.

  • Ensuring that Tuff is continuously building an inclusive culture to support diversity across all levels and teams in the company.

  • Reviewing, implementing, and improving our people practices and making sure our compliance standards are inclusive and up to speed.

  • Crafting Tuff’s Employer Brand and outlining a strategy for intentional talent attraction and retention.

  • Building relationships across the organization, being seen as a trusted resource for our people.

About you:

  • You may have experience as an HR or People Ops leader at a fast-growing startup AND have been a part of People Ops teams operating at scale.

  • You have experience working and leading in a remote first environment. Proven experience in creating strategies on how best to incorporate a remote first mindset across an org and to future team members.

  • You have a learning mindset. You are committed to getting better every day.

  • You have a bias toward action and are both efficient and adaptable.

  • You are a driver, focused on making an impact on the organization and clients every day.

The starting salary range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000.
