System Administrator (Atlassian)

Working as part of a team, the System Administrator (Atlassian) is a motivated problem solver who is responsible for tasks such as: supporting and creating a strong relationship with our desktop support and senior system administrator teams, identifying areas of improvement in IT processes, making recommendations, implementing solutions, responding to escalated user requests, help to research and resolve 2nd level support requests. Troubleshooting server connectivity and performance issues, application services problems, racking and configuring network equipment, upgrading, or replacing servers physical and virtual, monitoring security alerts and servers with monitoring tools, entering DHCP reservations, updating records in DNS, and documenting IT infrastructure. Administration and support for Atlassian suite of products. This role will directly support our senior systems administration, desktop support teams, and core business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all escalated requests (ticketing system, phone calls, emails, Slack, etc.) in a timely manner and follow through with the customer until completion.

  • Collaborate with the IT team on complex problems and completing tasks as assigned.

  • Configure, administrate, and support system imaging and systems management tools.

  • Rack and configure any IT equipment as required by the business.

  • Collaborate, research, and recommend solutions to challenges presented by the business.

  • Identify and communicate areas of improvement to the IT team for consideration and implementation.

  • Monitor network and server performance, logs and events, client and server updates, endpoint protection, etc.

  • Monitor and mitigate PII (Personal Identifiable Information) removal requests.

  • Atlassian administration support requests, product customizations, best practices, security, and compliance recommendations and reviews.

  • Create and maintain documentation of IT systems and processes.

  • Manage backups and disaster recovery processes and data.

Qualifications:

  • Organized and well-spoken, with the ability to communicate complex technologies simply.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft, OSX, and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience administering Atlassian products: Jira, Confluence, JSM, Bamboo, Bitbucket, and Trello.

  • SaaS services support and management for enterprise environments.

  • Configure, deploy, and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, servers, and storage.

  • Familiarity with Okta, Azure Active Directory, and AWS IAM.

  • User account management, NTFS, and share permissions.

  • Tier 2 support for manufacturing equipment and testing systems, controls, and critical applications.

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, and Cisco Meraki virtual hardware preferred.

  • Softphones and video conferencing systems.

  • Office 365 email, Barracuda spam firewall, and Gmail administration experience.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of network/server experience preferred.

  • IT Support: 5 years of experience preferred.

  • SaaS Applications: 2 years of experience preferred.

  • Security Tools: 2 years of experience preferred.

  • PII (Personal Identifiable Information) systems and data management are preferred.

UA Salary Range/Hourly Rate of Pay:  California Salary Range = $85,000 - $100,000

Base salary/hourly rate of pay will be based on the cost of labor for the city/state in which the new hire resides, at the time of hire.
