Senior Financial Analyst

We’re looking to build out our Strategic Finance team here at Vanta. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will help drive our financial model, planning and budgeting, and other high-visibility projects as the business grows.

Strategic Finance drives leverage and investing in opportunities for growth. Our team is tasked with building targets, setting budgets, and helping leaders execute against plans. This encompasses a wide breadth of business partnerships and reporting for the Executive Team and Board of Directors. Strategic Finance additionally supports fundraising efforts and broader investor relations.

What you’ll do as a Senior Financial Analyst at Vanta:

• Help drive the budget, operating model, and long-term financial plan for Vanta

• Perform analysis to support strategic decision-making around resource allocation and prioritization; identify areas for growth and improvement

• Work with cross-functional leaders to deeply understand business performance, trends in spend, and ROI

• Leverage benchmarking analysis to determine how much to invest in our operating departments

• Create weekly sales updates for distribution to the leadership team

• Build business cases for areas Vanta should invest resources effectively

• Manage ongoing day-day tactical responsibilities for the team (e.g., headcount management, spend approvals)

• Support the buildout of our Strategic Finance data infrastructure and longer-term tech stack

• Prepare presentations and analysis for our Board of Directors and Executive Team

How to be successful in this role:

• Have 4+ years of experience including Investment Banking and experience working at a fast-paced start-up (ideally SaaS) in Strategic Finance or FP&A

• Have strong proficiency with financial modeling and Excel; work with SQL and FP&A software is a plus

• Be highly analytical with the ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their quantitative implications

• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans

• Be highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base pay range for this position is $132,000 - $155,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
