About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Operations and Strategy, the Senior Billing Operation Analyst will be a partner to our Finance, Sales, Operations and Product teams to maintain and process accurate billing transactions for Vercel's fast-growing customer base.

Vercel has a high volume of billing transactions. Practical knowledge of billing systems, payment processors, and our product is essential to this role. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to following:

• Assist data analysis to identify, quantify, monitor and reduce billing discrepancies.

• Manage Enterprise subscription lifecycle to ensure invoices are generated and distributed timely and accurately.

• Conduct weekly and monthly billing reconciliations to ensure contract-to-subscription-to-invoice consistency.

• Respond to billing inquiries for both external and internal customers.

• Perform analysis to detect, quantify, monitor and prevent billing discrepancies.

• Identify billing process gaps and advocate for scalable system/process automation and optimization.

• Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, Sales and Finance teams to improve billing communication and promote efficiency

About You:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Equivalent

• 3+ years related experience in revenue operations or order management

• Experience at a hypergrowth SaaS company

• Strong understanding of order-to-cash cycle and business processes

• Experience with billing systems, Stripe and Salesforce

• Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines

• Strong Excel skills (Formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc)

Bonus If You: 

• Basic knowledge of ASC 606 revenue standards is a plus

• Have practical knowledge of billing systems implementations and configurations (i.e. SuiteBilling, Zuora and Stripe)

• Experience with reporting in Stripe

• SQL or other reporting experience

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
