Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
SUMMARY:
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will proactively ensure the stability, resilience and scale of our services by automation, testing and engineering. You will play a pivotal role alongside all areas of technology to ensure that technical solutions are aligned across teams, deliver value to the customers as well as ensuring consistent monitoring, logging and alerting.
We are looking for candidates who are as excited about pushing their own development as they are about advancing our technology stack.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:
You will join our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:
Take ownership of your work, ensuring high-quality outcomes that consider security, capacity, and performance.
Continually update and refine our technologies, staying ahead with the latest trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Promote a culture that values open idea exchange, innovation, and ongoing improvements.
Strategically balance business needs with optimal technical designs, advocating for pragmatic solutions when necessary.
Enhance team expertise through knowledge sharing, setting high standards for quality and precision in engineering.
Recognise and champion the critical role of non-functional requirements, such as monitoring, alerting, and logging.

Web servers - Apache, Nginx, IIS, Drupal
Databases - Oracle, MYSQL, MSSQL
Traffic Management - F5, Haproxy, Keepalived
CDNs - CDNetworks, Akamai, Incapsula
Scripting - Bash, Bat, Python, Perl
Programming Languages - PHP, .NET, Java, Ruby, Flutter
Caching - Redis, Memcached, Varnish
APIs - REST, JSON, SOAP
CI/CD - Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform
Monitoring and Observability - ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Prometheus, PRTG.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
AWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:
OS Administration - Windows, Linux.
Virtualisation and Orchestration - VMware, Docker, Kubernetes.
Networking - Cisco, Brocade
Cloud - Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud
Testing - Testrails, K6, Gatling
Security - Trellix, Fireeye, OKTA, Cisco Anyconnect, Entrust.
