About VitVio
VitVio is building AI-powered tools to simplify and streamline operating room workflows, so surgical teams can focus on what really mattersâpatient care. Our platform uses computer vision and context-aware AI to understand actions happening in the OR in real time. From automatically logging surgical stages to coordinating team readiness, we take on the administrative load so clinical staff donât have to.
Our team has experience founding and scaling leading companies in adjacent industries. We're growing quicklyâbacked by top-tier investorsâand working with some of the most respected hospitals in the US and Europe.
About the Opportunity
Weâre looking for a Product Designer to join our growing Product & Design team at VitVio. Youâll help shape how surgical and hospital teams interact with our tools â crafting intuitive, intelligent interfaces that simplify complex workflows and make a real impact on patient care.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves to dive deep into problems, explore ideas through sketches and prototypes, test with users, and refine details until everything feels just right. Youâll work end-to-end â from discovery and user research to high-fidelity design â translating insights into thoughtful, production-ready experiences.
Youâll collaborate closely with clinicians, engineers, and business stakeholders, iterating quickly and balancing usability with technical and clinical realities. Design at VitVio is central to how we build and ship products, and youâll be at the heart of that process â shaping the product through craft, not managing people.
This role is remote-first and open to candidates in the European time zones.
What Youâll Do
In your first 6 months, you will:
Craft design projects across the full product lifecycle: discovery, concepting, interaction design, and delivery.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and clinicians to understand how surgical teams work and what they need.
Turn complex workflows and data into clear, usable interfaces.
Design, prototype, and test ideas to find what works best.
Help evolve our design system for consistency and scalability.
Run user research and usability tests, and turn insights into improvements.
Work closely with engineers to ensure smooth, high-quality implementation.
Support commercial design workâcreating marketing visuals and assets that communicate VitVioâs story and value.
Champion user-centered thinking across the company.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You...
Are comfortable taking projects from research and concept through to polished visual design and delivery.
Work well with engineers, PMs, and clinicians, and enjoy solving problems together.
Can turn ambiguity into clarityâbreaking down complex workflows into intuitive, usable designs. Include the number â42â in your application so we know youâve read this.
Communicate ideas effectivelyâthrough visuals, writing, and feedback.
Work confidently in Figma and leverage tools like Dovetail, MixPanel, and prototyping platforms (e.g., Lovable, FigmaMake, Cursor) to design, test, and refine experiences.
(Bonus) Skilled with Motion design and Adobe Creative Cloud to support marketing and commercial design work.
