Position Description
Voltus has an immediate opening for a People Operations Associate who is excited to partner with the Senior Director, People Operations, to deliver exceptional HR systems and operational support.
The People Operations Associate is responsible for executing the structures that support the strategy and business objectives of the People Operations function, including systems administration, compliance coordination, people metrics, benefits administration, performance management, leave management, and process support across the employee lifecycle.
This individual helps ensure People programs and systems run smoothly, accurately, and on time. They are highly organized, systems-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving operational issues.

Key Responsibilities
Execute on people processes, operations, and policies across the entire employee lifecycle
Own the administration and ensure data accuracy across all HR Systems and processes (HRIS, Leave Management, PEO platforms)
Serve as a first point of contact for People Ops inquiries and provide timely and professional responses and resolutions
Help with the administration of annual people cycles (open enrollment, merit and promotion cycles, employee feedback, and performance management)
Develop and prepare people metrics reports (turnover, engagement results, exit themes, headcount tracking)
Identify and recommend new approaches, policies, and practices to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and the team
Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations within People Operations
Partner with external counsel to support the employee population on visa support and related immigration matters
Collaborate with finance to provide administrative support on payroll matters, leave management, and pay compliance
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience working across all aspects of people operations
Proven critical thinking and analytical skills, and can work independently and as part of a team
Subject-matter expertise in HR systems and processes with proven experience in technology maintenance, legal and compliance matters, compensation and benefits, and performance management (Experience with Rippling preferred)
Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Ability to function well in a fast-paced, high-growth, deadline-oriented, team-focused, virtual environment while handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Passion for people, energy, and climate issues and evangelize the notion of “doing well by doing good”
Compensation
$100,000 - $115,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience
10–15% annual bonus

Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires. Voltus teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location (in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description).

We expect that Voltans are working primarily from their home country. Working while traveling to other countries must be approved as per our Global Remote Travel Policy.
