📈 Opportunity Size

The ecommerce experience has been static for 20+ years and is one of the largest opportunities for disruption in the startup space today. Livestream shopping is a $170B GMV market in China and has grown 100% YoY. Retail is a $5T market opportunity!

💻 Role

  • Serve as an advisor to our CEO and internal stakeholders to deeply understand business strategies and talent needs for today and the future of Whatnot

  • Manage full-lifecycle executive search for internal & external candidates

  • Be a trusted advisor hiring managers, coaching them on effective search strategies, compensation, interviewing and long term engagement of passive candidates

  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies in multiple domains 

  • Vet and partner with external resources when needed

  • Create and drive best-in-class experiences that delight and highly engage candidates 

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion through every aspect of the hiring journey

  • Collaborate and partner across the broader talent acquisition and people team

  • Strong project management and communication skills and a passion for executive search

  • Experience in solving complex problems and delivering impact in a fast-paced, scaling environment

As our first Executive Recruiter you should have:

  • 10+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 4 years of executive recruiting experience (Director+ level)

  • The proven ability to cultivate long-term relationships with top talent in the market and facilitate proactive connections between your external network and Whatnot leaders.

  • Strong client management skills; ability to successfully lead and influence senior leaders through the challenges of competitive leadership search processes.

  • The ability to leverage a strong talent network and market intelligence to advise and influence leadership as they make executive hiring decisions.
