Web Project Manager

This is a full time contract position for the first three months, then a salaried position.

A Day in the Life

The full-time Project Manager will guide the process for our client projects from start to finish. This includes gathering all needed information from our sales staff, communicating it to the team, creating and balancing realistic schedules between clients and employees, and aligning scope and objectives with to-dos and milestones. 

The majority of your day will be spent in:

  • ClickUp, our project management software, making sure everything is on track and there are no roadblocks

  • Slack, our internal messaging system, to make sure everyone has what they need to move forward

  • Zoom, on calls with our team and our clients, to keep things on track

Our project management processes are fully developed, and you will learn how we do things and continue to implement and streamline these processes.  

You will be responsible for working together with a fellow Project Manager, an Assistant and a team of designers, developers, and content creators. You will be the main point of contact for each of your assigned clients, and your ultimate responsibility will be to guide each team toward reaching the desired outcomes of each project in a timely and cohesive manner, ensuring each client’s satisfaction and rapport with us.

  • You are an excellent video, phone, and written communicator, comfortable in your own skin, and able to be clear, concise, genuine, and down to earth in each of these modes of communication.

  • You’ve worked with clients in an agency setting specifically focused on graphic design, web design, web development, and/or ecommerce.

  • You understand and appreciate the financial and timeline implications that each decision will have on a client project, as well as the company.

  • You’re focused, diligent, and you make a point not to let important things or smaller details slip through the cracks.

  • You’re not easily distracted by notifications, Slack, and email; you prioritize proactive work over reactive work and can carve out clear time to focus on projects.

  • You enjoy the challenge of working on multiple projects at once. You’re able to prioritize and schedule your own workload to get everything done with some breathing room each week.

  • You’re able to bring simplicity, clarity, usability, and efficiency to all you do.

  • You’re energized by being part of a team and enthusiastic about supporting our existing proven processes.

  • You’re comfortable delegating, and you know how to set expectations and hold your team accountable. 

  • You’re an experienced and confident leader; you’ll be overseeing each client project, as well as the entire project team, discussing project goals and outcomes, such as overall vision, goals and design.

  • You understand how to give positive feedback and reinforcement for your team’s efforts and performance, as well as give and receive constructive feedback. 

  • You create calm for our clients and team during stressful situations by introducing clarity and a plan for the next steps forward; You have the ability to keep even the most tense situations professional.

  • You can commit to working 32 hours per week.

  • You have a reliable internet connection.

  • Your clients’ success is your success – when they win, you win, too!

Bonus Points

  • You’re familiar with Shopify in some capacity.

  • You’re familiar with the ClickUp project management system.

  • You’ve been in a project manager role for at least two years.

  • You hold project management certifications or have been trained in project management.

  • You’ve worked with and supported creative small businesses.

Salary for this role will be based upon your experience and skillset, and will fall between $70,000 and $80,000 annually.
