ABOUT THE TEAM AND THE ROLE

Hi, I'm Alex β€” I lead the affiliate marketing team. We run campaigns in the Nutra Male Enhancement niche on Facebook, targeting US and EU.

Funnel: FB video creative β†’ text-based prelander β†’ DTC offer page.

Our bottleneck is the script for the video creative. Right now the process looks like this: the media buyer drafts text and script based on spy tools or their own intuition, and the video editor produces the video. Thanks to our aggressive launch model (Meta compliance is not a constraint for us), we get low CPC and high engagement β€” but in the end, sales come down to the script and the text. That's the expertise we're currently missing in the team.

We're looking for an experienced DR copywriter to become the team's primary creative voice and write scripts for short-form video creatives (60-90 seconds). That's the role you'd take on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Scripts with hook variants for FB video creatives, 60-90 seconds in length.

  • Brief the video editor (on characters, intent, tone, pacing, B-roll).

  • Review the final video edit against the scripted intent.

  • Based on weekly CPA, CTR, EPC data from media buyers β€” refresh fatigued hooks, test new angles for underperforming scripts, scale winners.

Scripts are delivered in two-column A/V format (visual + audio).

Month 1 (onboarding) β€” we expect 2-3 scripts.

Months 2+ (once the research foundation is in place) β€” 4-5 scripts.

HOW WE WORK

  • You'll be embedded with our in-house buying team.

  • We'll set up a shared group chat with the video editor and team lead.

  • You deliver the first script β†’ editor produces it β†’ you review β†’ team lead launches the campaign β†’ we benchmark against the metrics of our current working creative and move to the next iteration.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3-6 years of direct response copywriting experience, including video scripts for Facebook.

  • Demonstrated experience in supplements / men's health / nutra (testosterone, prostate, ED-adjacent verticals, men's vitality β€” any of these niches works).

  • Working familiarity with: Big Idea framework, two-part mechanism reveal (problem mechanism + solution mechanism), hook taxonomy, Schwartz awareness and sophistication levels. RMBC method (Stefan Georgi) β€” a plus.

  • Theory + practice integration: you know the frameworks and have portfolio samples that apply them with measurable results.

  • Experience writing specifically for cold FB traffic.

  • Plus: successful experience writing VSL, TSL.

  • Comfort working in the Male Enhancement vertical with aggressive 18+ creative approaches.

ENGAGEMENT TERMS

  • Retainer $4,500-5,500 USD/month, ~45 hours/month.

  • Contract via Upwork Direct Contracts. Possible transition to a direct contract via Wise later on.

  • Before signing the retainer β€” paid test task ($400). Details in the "About the Test Task" section below.

  • Performance bonus: $500-$1,000 per successful script. After the pilot, possible transition to a % of profit on scaled winners.

What you submit:

  • Big Idea statement (one strong reframe that the entire script leans on).

  • 3 distinct hooks (DIFFERENT angles of attack β€” not variations of one idea).

  • Lead up to 150 words (the opening of the script β€” first ~30 seconds of the video).

What you'll receive from us when you accept the test:

  • Link to our prelander with the offer.

  • 2 of our current working video creatives with their scripts.

  • Target audience: men 35+, US.

  • Tone: aggressive, no compliance constraints.

Price: $400 β€” full upfront payment via Wise.

Deadline: 5 business days from receipt of the brief.

How we evaluate:

  • Big Idea originality (no clichΓ©s, no rehash of top competitors).

  • Hook distinctness across angles of attack (3 different approaches, not 3 phrasings of the same idea).

  • Voice β€” alignment with the style of our current working creatives.
