Content Writer & Proofreader

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Content Writers & Proofreaders with a strong linguistic background and proficiency in Spanish (Brazilian) and French (Canadian). The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, editing, and proofreading across these languages, with a deep understanding of linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness.

We encourage university professors specializing in these languages to apply, as they bring expert knowledge and experience. We aim to have a professor for each language to ensure the highest standards of content quality and linguistic precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation:

    • Develop engaging and clear content in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, German, and Dutch for websites, blogs, social media, marketing materials, and other digital platforms.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to create original and localized content that resonates with the target audience.

    • Adapt content from English into other languages while maintaining the intended message and tone.

  • Proofreading & Editing:

    • Proofread and edit written content in the required languages to ensure linguistic accuracy, clarity, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to local language conventions.

    • Review translations and adapt content to reflect cultural nuances.

    • Ensure consistency in terminology, style, and tone across different content formats.

  • Linguistic Expertise:

    • Apply a deep understanding of the grammatical, syntactical, and stylistic differences between languages.

    • Conduct linguistic research and stay up-to-date with language trends to ensure modern and relevant content.

    • Serve as an internal language expert, providing guidance on multilingual communication.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Maintain high standards for quality, ensuring all written materials are accurate, engaging, and error-free.

    • Identify and correct inconsistencies or inaccuracies in translations and localized content.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with marketing, product, and design teams to develop content that aligns with the company’s brand voice and goals.

    • Assist in developing guidelines for multilingual content and proofreading processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).

  • Proven experience as a content writer and proofreader in Spanish/ Italian/ Portuguese/ French/ German or Dutch.

  • University professors with expertise in any of these languages are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Native or near-native proficiency in the aforementioned languages.

  • Strong understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances in multiple languages.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Ability to adapt content for various platforms, including digital media, social media, and print.

  • Experience with translation and localization is a plus.

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus.

  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
