Senior Motion Graphics Designer & Video Editor

Apollo is looking for a world-class Sr. Motion Graphics Designer & Video Producer to join our in-house video team.

In this role, you’ll uplevel the quality of our video content with your mastery of post-production, including motion design, animation, editing, sound, and more. 

As a top-notch motion designer and animator, you’ll distill complex subjects into simple, easy-to-understand visuals that make each video 10x more effective, or create mind-blowingly gorgeous animations for high profile ads and hype videos — and know which treatment to apply on any given project.

As a video producer, you’ll oversee the end-to-end production of some of our highest-profile video content, including Apollo Academy courses, in-product videos, customer stories, marketing assets, ads, Olympus keynotes, explainers, and more.

You’ll work alongside an extraordinary team of videographers, content creators, designers and marketers to produce videos that drive results for Apollo and our customers.

This role reports to the Head of Video. The ideal candidate for this position has an extraordinary portfolio of video content, is an exceptional visual thinker and collaborator (bonus points for being able to storyboard quickly in analog mediums), has a background in UI/UX design (Figma experience preferred), and has worked at a fast-growing technology company before.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and apply world-class design and motion to Apollo’s video content to make every video you touch 10x more effective

  • Oversee the end-to-end production and project management of video campaigns, including for ads, keynote speeches, product hype videos, Apollo Academy content and more

  • Transform raw video footage into compelling stories through creative editing, color grading, and sound design/mixing

  • Scope new video projects and keep stakeholders informed as projects progress

  • Appropriately allocate and scale your time on various projects from quick turn to high touch and in-between 

This role is fully remote (ideally located in the US) and will require occasional travel. 

Qualifications:

  • A portfolio of extraordinary video content, with tangible business results attributed to your work

  • 10+ years of experience in design, motion design, and video production, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment

  • You’re a clear, efficient communicator, highly organized, and have the ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Your portfolio contains animated software product ads, explainers and demos, including UI animations

  • Your portfolio contains Figma and Adobe Illustrator designs you made that are consistent with brand guidelines

  • Your portfolio contains Figma and Adobe Illustrator designs you made and turned into world-class motion graphics

  • Mastery of Adobe After Effects

  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere
