Golang Engineer

ArangoDB is an open-source, highly scalable Graph Database. In addition to graph, it is natively supporting a number of data-models, including Document and Key-Value as well as Full-Text Search and Retrieval. Besides the database, we also offer a managed cloud service - ArangoGraph Insights Platform. Our platform provides fully hosted, managed, and monitored deployments of the ArangoDB database on all major cloud providers for our clients.

We are looking for an experienced Golang Engineer to help design, build & improve our managed cloud service, ArangoGraph. You will bring your cloud and Kubernetes knowledge into the platform, ensuring that our customers get the best possible experience and performance. You can balance these goals with the requirements of a highly scalable and fully managed environment. Additionally, you will work closely with our Machine Learning team to close the gap between the two teams.

You will be able to contribute significantly to this state-of-the-art service and take a leading role in shaping the strategy of hosting ArangoDB on multiple cloud providers.

For this position, we are looking for someone located in/between European and Indian time zones (GMT 0 to GMT +6).

You will

• Design and develop services using Kubernetes on cloud infrastructure of AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure

• Work between the ArangoGraph and Machine Learning Team

• Design and develop automated tests to ensure a flawless operation of the platform

• Work closely with the operations side to deploy, run and manage the platform in our production environment

• Contribute to the user experience through dashboards, APIs, and command-line tools

Your Skills

• 3+ years of experience with Golang and Python

• You communicate pro-active and friendly with team members as well as customers

• It is not your first time designing and building large-scale distributed cloud infrastructures (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

• You bring a love for automation to the table

• Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in designing cloud-based network architectures using services such as private endpoints

  • Experience in deployment container tools for Kubernetes, Docker
