As a Senior Accountant with a strong focus on general ledger management, your purpose will be to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our financial operations. You will oversee key financial processes, lead the month-end close, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in accounting operations. The perfect candidate will demonstrate a willingness to work in a rapidly changing environment and an ability to shape new processes as well as improve old ones.
Your Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
Month-end and Year-End Close: Lead closing processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting regulations and internal controls.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations. .
Audit Support: Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
Team Collaboration: Partner with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data flow.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’re going to need…
Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on general ledger management and month-end/year-end close processes.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills, with a demonstrated ability to streamline and improve financial operations.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data effectively.
Ethical Standards: High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
Language skills: At a minimum we require conversational level English language skills. Why? English is our company language and is used for any business-wide communications, so we need you to be able to speak English to feel like an integrated part of Booksy.

Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish
Experience in accounting for SaaS technology companies.
Familiarity with ERP/accounting platform implementation and enhancement.
Expertise in mapping and enhancing accounting processes.
Experience with internal controls implementation.
