Boulevard is seeking a leader for our Data and Analytics team, setting the strategy for and managing the company’s Analytics and Business Intelligence function. Reporting to our CFO, you will work with cross-functional teams and executives across the company to identify and prioritize opportunities for data-driven decision-making, and lead a team of data analysts and business analysts to deliver insights and recommendations that drive business value. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining a data-driven culture within the organization, as well as developing and executing on a vision for data-driven innovation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in a hyper-growth startup and thrives working in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Build and manage a world class data analytics and business analytics function.

• Develop and execute the data and business analytics strategy for the organization, including defining goals, priorities, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that data and business analytics is closely aligned with business needs.

• Identify and prioritize opportunities for data-driven decision-making, and work with the team to deliver insights and recommendations that uplevel groups thinking around business decisions.

• Shape business strategy by going deep into specific issues, identifying patterns, and correlations, to help create and a more nuanced understanding of key aspect of the business. 

• Instrument key drivers and OKRs for the business to help track progress to plan and goals.

• Responsible for development and implementation of dashboards and visualizations to deliver real time data for actionable decisions.

• Work with finance to develop Board of Directors reporting materials.

• Understand the nuance of the data to help create clear and consistent tables and queries that the business can rely on.

• Partner company-wide to build a data governance structure to assure data integrity, prioritization, and consistency across the organization.

• Bring clarity into unclear portions of the business (black boxes) and the impact of specific actions.

• Work closely with engineering and other relevant teams to ensure that the necessary data infrastructure and tools are in place to support the data and business analytics function.

What You'll Need to Thrive:

• Highly collaborative individual with ability to drive change in a cross-functional environment. 

• Data driven storyteller with excellent communication skills (verbal, writing, and presenting) and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.

• Proven experience building and managing a high performance team of data analysts and business analysts. 

• High level of ownership, identify areas of opportunity and taking ownership of projects and tasks from start to finish. 

• Ability to move things forward in the face of ambiguity, or with a lack of specific instruction. Able to operate effectively and keep key stakeholders informed of risks and trade-offs.

• Strong understanding and hands-on working experience in SQL relational databases, dashboarding and visualization tools and scripting languages (i.e., Python).

• Passionate about instituting new processes and implementing the latest technology in a fast paced, data-driven environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g. computer science, data science, business analytics). 

• 6-10+ years of analytical experience with complex data analysis and strategic insights, largely in a hyper growth startup.

• Experience working in a SaaS or other technology-driven business.

How We'll Take Care Of You:

Your starting total cash compensation for this role is between $175,000.00 and $235,000.00, depending on your current skills, experience, training, and overall market demands. This total compensation range is subject to change, and there is always room for growth and advancement.
