About Buenro

Buenro is the real social app - minus the media.

We're here to get people off their screens and into the real world.

On Buenro, you can Join, curate, and book shared experiences with people you will actually vibe with.

Think: a last-minute ski trip, a week in a seaside villa, or a spontaneous dinner plan.

Everything is bookable in our marketplace, with built-in cost splitting and zero financial risk if plans don’t move forward.

We build every feature to support our mission: meeting in real life.

No endless feeds. No algorithmic manipulation. Just:

  1. See what your people are up to and find new friends,

  2. Join or Curate something worth showing up for,

  3. Put your phone away and be present.

We’re a lean, mission-driven team creating something deeply human.

If you believe the future of connection is in real life - and want to build the digital tools that make it happen - we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to own and drive our product vision, strategy, and execution as we scale. You will lead a small but high-impact Product team (currently 4 people) and work closely with the founder, CXO, Engineering, Growth & Success, and Operations to ensure we are building the right product for our users and business.

This hands-on leadership role will be the driving force behind the product’s success, acting as the key bridge between executive vision, technical execution, and user needs. You will be the person who translates the company strategy and ambitious vision into a crisp, tasteful, and inspiring product roadmap, to the engineering, design, growth, and operations teams - and defends it. Fostering a shared understanding of the product’s direction. This person must be able to expertly articulate the "why" behind product decisions and secure buy-in across all stakeholders.

You will report directly to the C-suite and act as the primary product voice within the company.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

Our founders care deeply about the product. They’re in the details. You’ll work alongside them to turn conviction into clear quarterly and yearly plans that ship.

  • Translate vision into structured requirements and focused roadmaps.

  • Turn big ideas into concrete specs teams can build against.

  • Bring your own point of view. Support it with evidence. Challenge with respect.

  • Stay close to customers, interviews, usage data, direct conversations. Find the real friction.

  • Spot market opportunities early and act with intent.

  • Balance near-term delivery with long-term bets. Name the trade-offs. Choose deliberately.

Build something steady enough to rely on from a home office, a ski lodge, or a rented house by the sea, and disciplined enough to earn that trust every day.

Product Design

Design isn’t decoration. It’s direction.

  • Lead Product Design as a strategic partner, not a ticket queue.

  • Establish strong, tasteful design principles that create a calm, coherent user experience across the product.

  • Make discovery real: deep research, usability testing, fast iteration. No guessing.

  • Bridge ambition and feasibility, align creative vision with engineering truth early.

  • Build design systems and UX standards that scale cleanly as we grow.

Create a product that feels considered and steady, whether someone’s using it between meetings at home or before heading out to the slopes.

Product Delivery & Execution

Ship work that holds up, on a deadline.

  • Own the full lifecycle: discovery, validation, delivery, launch, iteration.

  • Partner closely with Engineering to ship clean, durable solutions, no heroics required.

  • Align product and design with engineering early. Handoffs are not a strategy.

  • Write clear requirements. Define measurable success. Prioritize with discipline.

  • Build lightweight processes that scale with the company, not against it.

  • Hold the final product sign-off. If it ships, you stand beside it.

Team Leadership & Development

Build a team that does its best work anywhere, a quiet home office to a borrowed desk near the sea.

  • Lead and grow Product Managers and Designers with intention.

  • Create real partnership across Product, Design, and Engineering. Shared goals. Shared wins.

  • Set clear expectations and meaningful development paths. No ambiguity.

  • Raise the bar on ownership and craft. Encourage thoughtful experimentation. Continuous improvement.

  • Stay close to the work - in discovery sessions, design critiques, roadmap debates, when it counts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Keep the product grounded in reality - and the user at the center whether the team is in a café, a ski lodge, or a seaside villa.

  • Align tightly with Engineering on scope, timelines, and technical direction.

  • Work with Growth and Success to make product decisions that improve acquisition, activation, retention, and satisfaction.

  • Partner with Operations to ensure what we build scales smoothly.

  • Be the customer’s voice in every room. Advocate for clarity, empathy, and evidence in every decision.

Requirements

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Product or Design roles, ideally across consumer apps, marketplaces, hospitality, or social/community, along with hands-on leadership experience.

  • Track record of owning product strategy and driving prioritization at a company level

  • Demonstrated experience leading Product Design from discovery to delivery

  • Experience working in a consumer tech start-up or scale-up environment

  • Proven ability to ship and iterate on successful digital products

  • Experience working with remote, distributed teams

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong ability to write clear, detailed product requirements that engineering can execute without ambiguity

  • Deep understanding of user-centered design and product discovery methodologies

  • Ability to work with visionary, hands-on founders and translate their ideas into structured plans

  • Ability to critique and guide design work constructively

  • Data-informed decision-making mindset

  • Ability to lead without heavy process in a fast-moving environment

Nice to Have

  • Marketplace or two-sided platform experience (supply/demand dynamics, booking flows)

  • Consumer app experience (engagement loops, retention, virality)

  • Travel, hospitality, or social product domain experience

  • Experience working alongside strong creative leadership

  • Background working closely with Growth or Customer Success teams
