Weβre looking for someone who is reliable, high agency and diligent to join our Local SEO Service team as a SEO Content Assistant on contract.
We're looking for someone who can manage client communications, execute monthly marketing tasks, and utilise various marketing tools effectively. This role provides comprehensive training, growth opportunities, and flexible remote working.

π οΈ About Us/Who We Are
As mentioned above, Built for Trades specialises in website design and local SEO services exclusively for trades businesses. We are dedicated to helping plumbers, electricians, builders, and similar trade professionals succeed online.
We are a small and growing team of 6 full time employees mostly based in the UK but working remotely.
We work typical UK hours from 9-5 but we are happy to be a bit more flexible if you are based outside of the UK as long as there is good overlap.

π₯ About the Role
Why are we hiring?
Specifically we are hiring as we have just relaunched our local SEO service and have seen significant growth in the customer base.
This contract role is really important to the business as you will be responsible for helping our customers rank higher in the local Google Map listings using our tried and tested process and tool set. Our customers rely on us to help them generate more leads to make their business a success.
π€ Who will you be working with?
You will be reporting directly into our Director of SEO Services who will support you daily.
βοΈ What will you be responsible for?
You will be responsible for delivering monthly SEO tasks for a book of clients. These tasks include:
Website/blog content planning and creation
Google Business Profile optimisation and updates
Creating and scheduling Google Business Profile content
Replying to Google reviews on behalf of our clients
Monitoring and responding to client communications and requests regarding the service
You will also be responsible for onboarding new clients and performing keyword and competitor research to develop strategy for each new client account after the three month probation period. Full training will be provided by our Director of SEO Services.

Youβll be using a range of software tools on a daily basis. The most popular ones will be:
ClickUp: For task and project management
Slack: For team communication
Webflow & Our Custom Web CMS: For content creation and publishing
BrightLocal: For Google Business Profile management and optimisation
Claude/ChatGPT: For content creation and editing
πΌ Onboarding and Training
You will be given a full week of onboarding and training on our toolset and process before being handed your first set of client accounts to manage. Your client accounts will gradually increase month on month as you gain confidence in the process until you reach capacity.
π What does a typical day look like?
A typical work day might look something like this:
Log on and catch up on all team and client communications
Review and prioritise your workload in ClickUp
Attend daily meeting with Director of SEO Services
Use AI to create and publish website content for 4-5 clients
Schedule Google Business Profile posts for 4-5 clients
Optimise Google Profile based on responses from a client communication.
Respond to Google reviews for a client
Update all tasks and projects
Complete daily summary report

You will contribute significantly to scaling our client services and improving internal workflows.
Long-term projects may involve developing advanced marketing strategies and training new team members.
As the company grows, opportunities will include progressing into senior or specialist roles.

You're a proactive, detail-oriented, fast learner that is comfortable using leading edge software tools in a remote environment.
You enjoy taking initiative, clearly communicating with clients and team members, and working independently.
You have a positive, solution-focused attitude and like to share ideas and insights for process and product improvements.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly reliable and able to manage deadlines independently
Basic understanding of SEO and Google Search rankings (training provided)
Comfortable using ClickUp, Google Business Profiles, and AI tools
Fluent English (written and spoken), essential for client interactions
Able to work during UK work hours (with some flexibility)
Preferred:
1-2+ years experience in SEO or related client facing roles
Comfortable using SEO keyword and competitor research tools
Understanding of Local SEO strategy
