Design Manager

Burnalong – an online health, wellness and fitness platform that provides immersive online programming and personalized experiences – was recently acquired by Tivity Health to accelerate digital transformation, support diverse populations, and address chronic disease. This is an exciting step that will allow us to combine capabilities and continue empowering people with solutions that create healthier, happier, more connected lives.

As a Design Manager, supporting Burnalong, you will focus on:

• Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Manage and mentor our junior designer, fostering their growth both professionally and personally.

  • Lead and plan creative meetings, quarterly design recaps, and check-ins to maintain a collaborative work environment.

  • Encourage a culture of constructive feedback within the team, providing insights and suggestions openly, while also being receptive to feedback to enhance personal and collective performance.

• Brand Vision:

  • Lead ongoing refinement and evolution of our brand vision, ensuring it aligns with our growth strategies.

  • Ensure brand guidelines are followed and brand cohesiveness is maintained across the organization.

• Design Thinking and Strategy:

  • Run design-focused engagement campaigns and oversee design assets needed for marketing initiatives.

  • Strategize design approaches to enhance brand growth and make meaningful design contributions.

• Data-Driven Design:

  • Leverage data-driven design principles to measure the success of campaigns and make data-informed design decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design leadership.

• Proficient in design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, with a hands-on approach and willingness to lead.

• Strong project management and communication skills 

• Ability to excel both independently and in a collaborative team setting

• Demonstrated passion for personal growth and mentorship.

• Familiarity with tools like: Wordpress, Hubspot, Braze, Canva, Asana, Microsoft 365

• Experience with data-driven design with focus on social media strategy, email marketing and AB testing, and website/landing page optimization to improve conversation rates

• Experience with animations and video
