ABOUT THE ROLE 
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Marketing Manager with a deep understanding of the database software market. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and marketing acumen to effectively communicate the value of our database solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical marketing, with a focus on creating interesting technical content and developing and executing strategies that drive product adoption, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

Job requirements
WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Product Positioning & Messaging:
Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences, including developers, database administrators, and IT decision-makers.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content that highlights product benefits and differentiators.
Content Creation:
Create high-quality marketing materials, including white papers, infographics, case studies, solution briefs, webinars, blog posts, and product videos.
Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of marketing content.
Coordinate with external technical writing freelancers to grow momentum.
Go-to-Market Strategy:
Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature releases.
Work closely with sales, product management, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support for go-to-market activities.
Customer and Market Insights:
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Gather and analyze feedback from customers, sales teams, and partners to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Event Participation:
Together with our senior product evangelist, represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase our database solutions and engage with prospects, customers, and partners.
Be a speaker at different partner, 3rd party or own events, including webinars.
Technical Expertise:
Stay up to date on the latest database technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
Provide technical expertise to support product marketing initiatives and ensure alignment with customer needs.
YOUR SKILLS
English native speaker preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical marketing within the database software market or a closely related field.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of database technologies, trends, and market dynamics. Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, cloud databases, data warehousing, or related fields.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven marketing and performance analysis.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
