Seeking a Copywriter for a Popular Podcast and Membership Community 

Overview

There is a problem at the Tropical MBA Podcast and Dynamite Circle community. 

Every week, we help 1000s of entrepreneurs build better businesses. 

We host events, publish podcasts, do business coaching, connect founders, and cultivate a vibrant forum of over 1,000 vetted members. 

We see so many great stories.

We need somebody to help tell them and cultivate the voice of our brand. 

That’s where you come in. 

To tell the story of a busy ecosystem, we need a writer who: 

1. Understands relevance and hooks. 

2. Creates crisp, readable copy and

3. Develops a deep understanding of our products.

As our copywriter – part storyteller, part internal journalist, part data nerd – you’ll be responsible for creating the following on a regular basis: 

• Weekly newsletters (customers and prospects). 

• Updating our onboarding and nurture sequences using a data-informed approach. 

• Writing go-to-market campaigns for our event and program launches. 

• Updating our website copy to reflect key product updates and customer insights. 

• Assisting in building creative assets like case studies, event wrap-ups, product explainer video scripts, and more.

All of your projects will have clear metrics.

You’ll work directly with a passionate team, including our head of marketing. They’ll work with you on top-level strategies and give you the frameworks to succeed.  

We’re looking for somebody who is 

1. Highly curious about stories related to entrepreneurship and

2. Capable of executing excellent copy at high volume.

Our team of 12 all works remotely from many places around the globe. Because this role requires a great deal of collaboration, we prefer candidates in time zones ranging from UTC -8 to -2. We will consider candidates based in Europe, but it’s not our ideal.

We help lifestyle business owners grow to 7-figures and beyond and connect with others who have done so. Our company has been growing quickly since 2020, but has a long track record, having been established in 2011. 

We accomplish our mission through the Tropical MBA podcast, the Dynamite Circle entrepreneurial community.

Our team is primarily based in North America, Japan, South America, and the Philippines. We work in a dynamic and fun environment where we support and encourage each other. We're in it for the long haul, and we expect you to be in it for the long haul as well.

About the Role

As copywriter, you’ll report directly to our head of marketing (based in Austin, Texas). You must enjoy frank conversations, critical feedback, and extreme detail orientation. 

In our company, words matter. 

Our customers base large investments and multi-week travel plans on how clearly we communicate. You must demonstrate an ability to work transparently and accept critical feedback. 

Key Projects: (All our our projects have SOPs and KPIs we’re looking to meet or exceed) 

• Weekly newsletters

• Go-to-Market email campaigns and product launches

• Sales pages

• Nurture email sequences

• And more!

Other responsibilities:

• We’re a small team with a ‘get it done’ and collaborative approach. There will be administrative and marketing projects that come up related to our goals. Some examples could be brainstorming swag items, conceptualizing giveaways and other marketing initiatives, and generally speaking working with the operations team to promote our brands with fresh ideas. 

Team Communication:

• You’ll maintain open and fluid communication with team members to stay informed about customer needs and communication strategies. We have a weekly all-hands meeting on Fridays and you’ll speak with the head of marketing at least once a week. 

• You’ll actively seek feedback, work collaboratively, and share experiences with the team to improve processes and results.

You are tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and have previous experience generating a high volume of work. We love to move fast.

You must have previous experience working remotely with low-touch management. We expect you to take a high level of responsibility and produce work independently. 

Requirements

• You must have a demonstrated ability to create 1,000+ publishable words on a daily basis. 

• Demonstrated track record of versatility. Emails. Sales pages. Forum posts. Case studies. Newsletters and more.

• Work-from-home experience is a must.

• Recommended 4+ years of experience. 

• Writing samples and tests will be required as part of applications.
