Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with the capacity to effectively work independently in a fast-paced environment. The role requires high proficiency in IT requirements documentation and experience with custom web applications based on Microsoft technologies. Closerlook/Fishawack Health’s Business Analysts work with cross-functional teams to produce innovative, high-quality digital marketing campaigns. Project deliverables for our clients in the pharmaceutical industry comprise web applications; CRM email development and email journey programming; the development, trafficking, and tagging of media drivers; and advanced reporting on the performance of each of these tactics. The Business Analyst ensures requirements are defined before a technical solution is designed and implemented, and that the business requirements documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle as the solution evolves. The Business Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that final deliverables meet client expectations and add to the bottom line.

What you’ll do

• Gathers, documents, analyzes, and validates business requirements by extracting them from documentation and eliciting them from representatives of cross-functional business teams (Account, Strategy, UX, Design, Copy)

• Leads requirements gathering sessions using discovery workshops, interviews, and analysis in partnership with UX

• Identifies gaps in process, communication, and requirements documentation to ensure we follow a sustainable methodology to develop the best possible product

• Actively manages requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure accuracy and completeness of project deliverables

• Supports software testing by reviewing QA test plans and ensuring that the scope of QA test cases covers all business requirements

• Acts as a resource to clarify and scope tasks for members of the development and testing teams

• Practices attentive and active listening, has the patience to hear people out, and can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees

• Improves systems by studying current practices, reviewing project errors or pain points, and recommending or designing process modifications

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies

About you ​​​​​​​

• Proven skills documenting software development business requirements and effectively translating between technical knowledge into business language

• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from inception to deployment 

• Bachelor's degree 

•3+ years of relevant experience 

• Demonstrated project management skills or experience leading a scrum team 

• Effectively manages with incomplete information and changing circumstances; ability to react quickly to changing priorities; can decide and act without having the complete picture; embraces when things are up in the air 

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

• Proactive, results-oriented problem solver with strong organizational skills 

• Learns quickly when facing new problems; analyzes success and failures as clues to improvement; quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything 

• Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity
