Account Executive, New Business, Retail

Flipp is a pre-IPO company on a mission to help shoppers provide for their families by making life more affordable by leveraging technology. We work with the largest retailers and manufacturers in the world to help them transform their businesses and connect them with millions of shoppers through our next-generation digital shopping marketplace. Our award-winning Flipp app is used by millions of shoppers every week to make better purchase decisions and to save 20-40% off their bills.

With the recent increase in costs of living, Flipp’s mission has never been more relevant. Flipp’s Shopper Consideration Platform allows retailers and manufacturers to create digital experiences from their savings & deals content. These experiences help Shoppers decide what to buy and where to buy it. Flipp then connects those retailer and manufacturer experiences to millions of shoppers through Flipp’s owned and operated channels.

As an Account Executive (New Business, Retail) at Flipp, you are responsible for increasing the breadth and depth of current CPG & other brand partners invested with Flipp while positioning Flipp as a thought leader with the largest brands and agencies in North America. The Account Executive drives growth strategy & execution against the revenue and content goals cascaded from the Director (and executive team).

The Account Executive is the main point of contact for most enterprise partnerships and presents the Flipp platform in alignment with a brand’s goals/objectives.  The BDL is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the sales pipeline and forecast and delivers feedback from the market to the Manager and Director on a weekly basis.

The Account Executive has ownership of the entire sales process and ensures it is executed with efficiency from pitching, onboarding, legal, closing and account managing. Each Account Executive owns a named list of accounts across multiple verticals that have been provided by the Director.

What you'll get the opportunity to do:

  • Deliver sales targets through leadership of the entire sales cycle (prospecting, pitching face-to-face, proposal, and account management) to create net new opportunities within a target list at a Director/VP level and have the discernment of when to bring in other team members (ie, Director, other department heads)

  • Quarterbacking internal resources against external expectations. In this role, the person must have a good working knowledge of all internal stakeholders to ensure all teams are involved and briefed on new partnerships

  • Maintain an accurate SalesForce Pipeline and report on movement, opportunities, challenges and results on a weekly basis (Director) and bi-weekly basis (VP Business Development).

  • Coach the Business Development Specialist to help them understand/manage internal stakeholders and teams, train on selling skills, and provide general operational support.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 3-5 years experience managing a sales pipeline (tech or retail background preferred)
