Senior Producer - Social Video

About the Role

We are looking for a creative producer to steer our social video operation. Freethink is building a small team focused on producing short-form videos to grow our audience across social platforms. We’re seeking someone to help build this capability internally, including both developing a content strategy and working with post-production staff to execute against that vision. This role will encompass short video work for Freethink editorial as well as Freethink partners.

What You’ll Do

• Develop a comprehensive short video strategy for developing content for TikTok, Youtube Shorts, and Instagram and Facebook Reels.

• Pilot original short video content–creating the content directly as well as working with internal creators to develop and create short video.

• Leverage the material from the Freethink archive to create content for social platforms.

• Give feedback on short videos cut by editors and assistant editors across Freethink.

• Develop relationships with external creators who may contribute to channels.

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years experience in social media strategy. Experience in a short video strategy and creation preferred.

• Deep understanding of short video platforms, including TikTok, Youtube Shorts, and Instagram and Facebook Reels.

• An eye for topics, moments, visuals that will land on social video platforms.

• Ability to work on a lean team and willingness to quickly pivot based on an evolving media landscape.
