Lead 3D Character Artist

We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead 3D Character Artist who will be responsible for creating stunning and visually appealing 3D character models that enhance the gameplay experience. Your expertise in character design, modeling, texturing, and optimization will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity of our game.

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

• You’ll lead and manage a team of character artists, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.

• You’ll collaborate closely with the art director, game designers, and other team members to establish a cohesive artistic vision for the game's characters.

• You’ll create detailed character models, considering factors such as proportions, anatomy, clothing, and accessories.

• You’ll model, UV unwrap, and texture characters using industry-standard software such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or similar tools.

• You’ll optimize character models and textures for mobile platforms, ensuring optimal performance without compromising visual quality.

• You’ll collaborate with the technical art team to ensure proper integration of character models into the game engine.

• You’ll conduct regular reviews and provide constructive feedback to artists to improve the overall quality of character art.

• You’ll stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and tools related to character modeling, texturing, and optimization, and share knowledge with the team to foster continuous improvement.

What you'll bring to the team:

• At least 3 years of proven experience in a leadership role, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of artists.

• A strong portfolio showcasing your exceptional skills in character design and modeling.

• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, or similar tools for character modeling and texturing.

• Strong understanding of human anatomy, proportions, and clothing design, with the ability to create visually appealing characters.

• Excellent knowledge of UV mapping, texturing, and PBR material creation for character models.

• Experience in optimizing character models and textures for mobile platforms, balancing performance and visual fidelity.

• Passion for video games and a deep understanding of character design and its impact on gameplay and player engagement.

• Familiarity with rigging and animation principles is a plus.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent English to communicate with the international team.
