Executive Assistant

Description

Blockovate is an ambitious and fast-growing marketing agency on a mission to help innovative, blockchain-based solutions reach their ideal audience.

We work with some of the most exciting blockchain projects in the space, transforming their marketing strategies to ensure they connect with the right communities and achieve their goals.

Role

We’re looking for a highly organised, digitally savvy Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to one of our Directors — with a strong emphasis on marketing-related tasks, but also a wider generalist remit. This is a varied and hands-on role that supports both the professional and personal aspects of the Director’s day-to-day life, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

You’ll play a key role in helping to manage marketing workflows, communications, scheduling, and logistics, while also stepping in to support with personal tasks and errands where needed. No two days will be the same, and you’ll need to be comfortable switching between high-level marketing support and day-to-day admin with ease.

If you're a proactive, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys being the go-to person behind the scenes, this is the role for you.

Key Accountabilities

  • Diary & Email Management: Manage and prioritise the Director’s schedule and inbox, ensuring optimal time management across meetings and commitments.

  • Expenses & Invoices: Oversee expense submissions and invoice processing to ensure timely payments and financial accuracy.

  • Travel & Logistics: Plan and book travel and accommodation for business trips, including detailed itineraries.

  • Executive & Personal Support: Provide proactive assistance across both business and occasional personal matters to support the Director effectively.

  • HR & Recruitment Coordination: Support the hiring process by scheduling interviews, managing candidate communication, and coordinating with recruitment partners.

  • Marketing Support: Assist with marketing initiatives by completing delegated tasks that help drive campaign delivery and team efficiency.

  • Task Tracking & Follow-Up: Monitor progress on key tasks, follow up where needed, and help ensure goals are met on time.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant, ideally supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong exposure to digital marketing or working within a marketing-focused team, agency, or start-up — a clear understanding of marketing workflows and priorities is highly desirable

  • Comfortable using and learning digital tools, including project management systems, content calendars, and marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social scheduling tools, or CRM systems)

  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, especially when supporting campaigns or time-sensitive projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit documents, emails, and presentations to a high standard

  • Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across marketing and business functions

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, marketing, and cross-functional teams

  • Tech-savvy and proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Proactive, can-do mindset — ready to take ownership and support on both routine and high-impact tasks

Personal Attributes

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated

  • Hardworking and proactive with a high sense of responsibility

  • Thrives under pressure in fast-moving environments

  • Resilient, solutions-focused, and maintains a positive attitude

Benefits

  • £30,000 – £40,000 salary (depending on experience)

  • Flexible working policy — work in our office, remote, or hybrid

  • Access to our coworking space in central London, including yoga classes, weekly tea time, and monthly drinks

  • 25 days of holiday + public holidays, with an additional day with every year worked, up to a maximum of 30 days

  • Quarterly team socials

  • Working-from-home budget

  • Employee referral programme

  • Company pension scheme
