Lead Product Marketing Manager

GoodParty.org is hiring a Lead Product Marketing Manager to sit at the epicenter of our GTM org. You will be a true partner-in-crime to our PM team and the connective tissue that holds Product and GTM teams together: the person who understands the user better than anyone else in the room, knows the magic of the product inside out, and works relentlessly to connect the two.

This is a high-influence, high-coordination, deeply cross-functional role. You will rarely have formal authority over the people you need to move. You will win through clarity of insight, quality of craft, and the trust you build across the org. This is a role for someone who lives at the meeting point of EQ and IQ, with deep human empathy and data rigor, and is ready to build product marketing in a category where the playbook is still being written.

About GoodParty.org:

A majority of voters, including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither major party represents them. GoodParty.org is the solution.

We’re on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering Independent candidates to run, win, and serve.

Since 2024, 13,000+ Independent candidates have won their races across all 50 states using our tools, training, and support. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to launch and run campaigns, connect with voters, and serve their communities effectively - without needing a political party and big donors. What our users have in common is that they prioritize people over parties and community over special interests. We’re not a political party, we’re a platform and a movement to democratize democracy.

Founded by serial entrepreneur Farhad Mohit ($1B+ in exits, including Flipagram/TikTok and Shopzilla), GoodParty.org is building solutions so we can have a truly representative democracy where society’s biggest problems are solved.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead product marketing by aligning product, growth, sales, partnerships, and brand around a shared, deep understanding of both users and product, and act as the internal educator who keeps everyone telling the same story.

  • Run voice-of-customer research (interviews, surveys, win/loss analysis, and ongoing feedback loops) to uncover the real why behind user needs, then translate it into living personas and segment maps built on demographic, behavioral, and motivational criteria.

  • Own competitive intelligence, keeping the team current on the market landscape and turning insights into positioning angles, roadmap input, and campaign strategy.

  • Develop sharp positioning & messaging by segment, use case, and channel, translating complex product capabilities into language that resonates with first-time candidates, campaign managers, and elected officials.

  • Build & maintain the enablement library (launch briefs, messaging guides, sales decks, battle cards, one-pagers, objection handling, etc.) so Sales, Growth, and Partnerships can communicate the product with confidence.

  • Drive GTM planning & execution for both feature and product launches, coordinating across teams so releases land clearly and drive real adoption and usage.

  • Own lifecycle marketing post-signup, partnering with Product on activation, engagement and retention by defining the key metrics, tracking the funnel, running A/B tests, and bringing a clear point of view on what to fix next.

  • Reports to our Chief Marketing Officer.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’re up for the audacious challenge of driving money out of politics and democratizing democracy.

  • You have 5 to 8 years of experience in B2C tech product marketing, ideally in a fast moving product-led, growth-oriented, or category-building environment.

  • You bring the right mix of strategy & execution, thinking deeply and moving quickly as one continuous motion rather than two separate modes.

  • You are wired for deeply cross-functional work and know how to build trust, create alignment, and move teams in the same direction without relying on formal authority.

  • You have an investigative mindset. You get to the root of what users actually need, not just what they say they want, and you come back with insight that changes decisions.

  • You are an exceptional writer who can craft sharp one liners and crisp landing pages that convert, subject lines that get opened, and positioning documents that align teams.

  • You are data-informed and judgment-led, with experience using funnels, cohorts, A/B tests, and performance metrics. You treat data as an input, not a substitute for thinking, and you know how to figure out why something is happening and what to do next.

Bonus if:

  • You have experience building product marketing from 0 - 1 in a brand new category where the playbook did not already exist.

  • You have worked in civic tech, political campaigns, democracy reform, advocacy, or mission-driven startups, and understand the unique challenges of this space.

  • You’re tired of sitting on the sidelines while democracy fails to meet its potential – and you’re ready to act.

Why you should work at GoodParty.org:

  • Join a passionate team with diverse political views focused on one mission. Our values are: People First. Direct, Open, and Honest. Empowered Ownership. Iterate for Impact. Fun Is Fuel.

  • We’re a Public Benefit Corporation that prioritizes social impact over profit.

  • Innovative Bitcoin denominated deferred bonus plan, allowing you to have the amazing upside of being in a startup while working on a truly meaningful mission.

  • Work where and how you like, on a fully remote team spread across the country.

  • 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your dependents.

  • We encourage you to take time off to recharge and have an unlimited PTO (sick and vacation) policy. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We believe a work-life balance is needed to get there.

  • 401(k) program available so you can contribute toward retirement savings (no employer match).

  • Individual learning & development budget to fund your growth.

  • We’ll make sure you’ve got what you need to work remotely through our workspace setup stipend.

  • If you work from home, we give $50/month to help with your internet and other expenses. If you prefer co-working, that’s an option we can discuss too.

  • Fully funded for our mission. No stressing over whether the next round of funding will come through. Focus on making an impact. That’s what matters here.

The salary range is $156,000 - 185,000 for this remote, full-time position with excellent benefits. This range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
