Highlights
🔑 Work Directly with Our Founders & Team
🕘 6-Month to 1-Year Internship
🕘 Part-time: 25 hours per week
🚀 Real Marketing Responsibility from Day One
🗺 Anywhere (must overlap US time zones 4–5 hours daily)
💰 USD $500 Monthly Stipend (potential hiring opportunity for full-time)
We don't need another intern who executes tasks and waits for the next brief.
We need someone who looks at a LinkedIn post, a landing page, a Substack article, or a YouTube script and immediately knows what's wrong with it, and how to fix it. Someone who understands that writing is a marketing tool, not a creative exercise. Someone who can jump between a GEO research audit, a client content calendar, a PR piece, and a LinkedIn post in the same week and bring the same strategic thinking to all of it.
That's the role. And if you read that and thought, "Yes, that's how I already think," keep going.
Here's how we think about content. It's not a line item in the marketing budget. Done well, it builds a moat. It makes sales shorter, marketing more efficient, and even hiring a warmer conversation. When prospects doing $50M or more find us through an AI search result, a LinkedIn post, or a Google search before they ever book a call, it's the content that got them there. That's what you'll be contributing to.
You'll work across the full marketing mix. Content is your strongest tool, but it's not your only one. Some days you're writing. Some days you're researching why a client isn't showing up in AI search results and building a plan to fix it. Some days you're working with the video team on scripts. Some days you're managing a content calendar or supporting a campaign. You bring marketing thinking to everything you touch, and you're a strong writer on top of that.
Why You'll Love It Here
First, we're a fun-loving, dynamic bunch, always ready to tackle new challenges. Join us, and you'll never experience a dull moment.
Do you get a rush from seeing content actually move the needle? Perfect, so do we.
Not a fan of cubicles and offices? Cool, neither are we. We've been working remotely for a while now. Work when you're feeling sharp.
Enjoy being part of a worldwide team. Our team works from Bangladesh, Canada, Germany, Chile, Kenya, Brazil, Pakistan, Romania, USA, Colombia, and Argentina.
No formal experience? No sweat. We care more about your marketing instincts, your curiosity, and your drive to learn than your resume.
You'll fit right in if you're the kind of person who rewrites a headline not because someone asked, but because you knew it wasn't working.
Just a heads-up: I might have looked like a terrified squirrel the first time I went skydiving. But hey, I just did it. So if you don't mind joining a team headed by a brave squirrel, come on in.
Check out my squirrel face right here.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
This isn't a write-and-disappear role. You'll be inside the marketing operation, thinking about what content needs to do and making sure it does it.
Writing and editing across formats: LinkedIn posts, Substack articles, website copy, landing pages, scripts, PR pieces, whatever the campaign needs
Supporting GEO/AEO content projects, researching why clients aren't showing up in AI-generated answers, and helping fix it
Collaborating with the video team on scripts and content direction
Managing content calendars and keeping projects on track
Editing and improving AI-generated copy so it sounds like a real person wrote it
Researching topics, trends, and competitors to inform content strategy
Supporting campaigns and marketing initiatives across multiple clients
Flagging what's not working and proposing what to do instead
You won't just be producing content. You'll be thinking about why it exists, who it's for, and whether it's actually working.
Where You Could Go From Here
Your first job is to learn the operation and earn trust. After that, where you grow depends on where you shine.
✍️ Content & Brand Strategy
If you think beyond the brief, asking who this is for, what it needs to do, and how to measure it, you'll grow into owning content strategy for clients. Voice, editorial calendars, channel strategy, the works.
📣 LinkedIn & Personal Brand
If you have strong instincts for what works on LinkedIn and understand tone and audience, you'll take on more of Peter's personal brand, posts, Substack, engagement strategy, and the voice that ties it all together.
🔍 GEO/AEO & AI Visibility
If you're analytical and love figuring out why something isn't working, you'll go deep on AI search visibility, auditing content, identifying gaps, and building the kind of content that gets cited by AI engines.
🎬 Creative & Scriptwriting
If storytelling comes naturally and you can write for ears as well as eyes, you'll support the video team on scripts and creative direction, connecting the written and visual sides of the content operation.
You don't get to pick your track on day one. You earn it.
You'll Thrive Here If...
You think like a marketer, not a writer. When you look at a piece of content, your first question is "what is this supposed to do?", not "does this sound good?"
You're comfortable with tools. AI writing tools, CMS platforms, research tools, analytics, project management, you're not afraid of learning something new and you don't wait for a tutorial.
You move fast without cutting corners. You can produce solid work quickly and iterate from there. Deadlines are not suggestions to you.
You're not precious about your writing. Feedback makes the work better. You can cut a paragraph you loved if it's not serving the strategy.
You're curious and proactive. You notice things nobody asked you to notice. You bring ideas nobody asked you to bring. You flag problems before they become problems.
If the idea of writing the same blog post template every week sounds like your dream job, this isn't the right fit. If a week that includes a LinkedIn post, a GEO audit, a script draft, and a landing page rewrite sounds like a good week, keep reading.
Your Skills
Strong writer across formats: LinkedIn, scripts, website copy, PR, Substack, not just blogs
Sharp editor: you can take AI-generated or rough copy and make it sound like a real person wrote it
C1 English level minimum: clean, natural writing that doesn't sound like a template
Marketing thinker: you connect content to goals, audiences, and outcomes
Curious about GEO/AEO and AI visibility, or willing to learn it fast
Comfortable with tools: AI writing tools, CMS, analytics, project management
Self-directed: you manage your time, hit your deadlines, and don't need hand-holding
Team player: you work well with video editors, designers, and account managers
Bonus: experience with LinkedIn content, Substack, or PR writing
Bonus: familiarity with AI search tools or content performance analytics
This is your chance to take the reins, get creative, and figure it out. It's not always a walk in the park, but you'll gain a ton of experience, and it will be worth it. We promise.
They Started Where You Are! Watch What Our Previous Interns Say About The Internship:
Almost everyone on our team started as an intern. That's not a talking point, it's the entire model. I literally wrote the playbook on it (coming soon):
Interns to A-Players: A Playbook for Remote Bosses.
From the team - right now:
Julian - Sales Intern
"I came in with experience in sales, marketing, and copywriting, or at least, that's what I thought. Once I had the opportunity to experience the day-to-day work of the professionals at this company, I quickly realized how much I still had to learn. They have built a system that is not only highly effective at generating results, but also at helping the people within the company continuously grow and develop, while maintaining the highest standards in everything they do."
Sol - Sales Intern
"Working as an intern at Strategic Pete has been one of the most fulfilling professional experiences I've ever had. Every day brings a new challenge and a new opportunity to learn. Strategic Pete is not a random company. If you genuinely want to learn how to take an idea, create a project, and bring it to life; if you enjoy sharing your thoughts while also being open to feedback; and if you are looking for a place where you can challenge yourself and grow, this is definitely a place where you can do that."
Where it takes you:
Maria was managing client projects and our entire internal team by month one. Full-time by month three. Her words:
“Everyone put trust in me to lead effectively, that's what empowered me to take the position.”
Laura came in just wanting flexibility and practical skills. She left with a completely different way of thinking about strategy.
“I got both of those things, and more.”
Cami, our current SEO lead, knew nothing about SEO when she started. She now owns content for three clients across multiple brands.
“You had confidence in me even in times when I didn't.”

About Strategic Pete
Strategic Pete is a marketing and growth agency. But we've always worked a little differently.
Our founder, Peter, came up through CNN, hosted television shows in Chile, and built an award-winning seven-season series that streams on Hulu, Apple TV, Amazon, and Roku, with over 40 million social views. The approach to everything here: "Human. Not Hollywood."
That same lens runs through how we help clients. We work with mid-market B2B businesses to build real pipelines through outbound systems, content that resonates, and marketing strategy tied to revenue. Not fluff. Not brand decks that collect dust. Real, measurable growth.
We'll start you off with a $500 monthly stipend. Show us what you've got in 6 months, and you could land a full-time role. Working closely with managers and specialists in different areas of marketing, you'll learn a lot.
We've helped 100+ interns grow in their careers. You must be ready for a 6-month commitment and be willing to put in at least 25 hours per week.
How to Apply
Before you send anything, watch one episode of the Strategic Pete podcast. Pick whichever one calls to you:
Stop the Sales Gimmicks! Build Genuine Relationships That Actually Drive Business
The Workforce Shortage Is a Story Problem, Not a Labor Problem
This isn't busywork. It's 20-40 minutes that'll tell you more about how we operate than any job description could. If you watch it and think this is my kind of team, then send us a Loom (free tool, just Google it) telling us:
Who you are. Tell me a bit about yourself and why you think you are the next A+ teammate for our remote crew.
Pick one thing from the episode you disagreed with or would push back on, and tell us why.
Tell us one moment from the episode that connected to something in your own life or work, and be specific.
Why marketing, not just writing, genuinely excites you, and how writing fits into that.
If you have samples you're proud of, a LinkedIn post, a Substack piece, a script, a PR article, something from school, feel free to share them. No formal portfolio required. We just want to see how you think.
We read every Loom. We skip every application that arrives without one.
—> The middle two questions matter more than your resume.
Don't wait, tomorrow could be too late.
