Senior Performance Designer

About the role

We're seeking a Senior Performance Designer to own and elevate our direct response creative across Meta, YouTube, TikTok and beyond. This role is ideal for a creative leader who knows what makes an ad convert, understands the nuances of paid social design, and loves bringing performance data into the design process. You'll lead the development of high-performing static, video, and motion ads while managing a small but mighty team of designers and editors. This role is both strategic and hands-on — you'll shape our creative direction while getting into the tools yourself when needed. This role reports to our Director, Creative Strategy.

This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a bi-annual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL.

In this role, you will:

  • Own design execution across all paid media channels (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon) with a focus on conversion-driven creative

  • Manage and mentor a team of Graphic Designers and Video Editors focused on performance creative

  • Partner with Creative Strategy to translate messaging into compelling visual executions that drive results

  • Drive creative testing strategy, developing design iterations based on performance data and insights

  • Create static ads, thumbnails, banners, motion graphics, and visual toolkits that stop the scroll

  • Edit videos in engaging, direct-response formats optimized for each platform

  • Oversee design QA to ensure creative is brand-aligned, polished, and conversion-optimized

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth, UGC, and Brand teams to support launches, sprints, and seasonal campaigns

  • Maintain and evolve a performance-minded visual system across formats and platforms

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 5–7 years of experience in design for DTC brands, with at least 2 years in a performance-driven creative role.

  • Brings a proven track record of designing high-performing ads across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube

  • Possesses strong design toolkit skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, After Effects with clear POV on what works where

  • Demonstrates experience managing and mentoring junior designers and editors

  • Shows deep understanding of creative testing frameworks and ad optimization methodologies

  • Exhibits strong communication, project management, and team collaboration skills

  • Has experience with wellness, health, or supplement brands (preferred)

  • Understands user-generated content formats and how to design around UGC (preferred)

  • Shows comfort working across both brand-aligned and direct response creative formats (preferred)
