About the Business

I run an audio visual integration business that installs sound, lighting, video and security systems for residential and commercial customers in the US.

Role Overview

I'm hiring a full-time Lighting Designer / Estimator to design lighting and lighting control systems and turn them into complete, accurate project proposals.

Key Responsibilities

- Design lighting layouts, reflected ceiling plans and control schematics in AutoCAD.

- Design and specify Lutron and Crestron lighting control systems.

- Prepare material takeoffs, BOMs and labor estimates in Excel or D-Tools.

- Review architectural drawings, electrical plans and specifications in Bluebeam Revu.

- Build bid packages with scope, exclusions and current manufacturer pricing.

- Coordinate designs with project managers, architects and electrical contractors.

Requirements

- 3+ years in lighting design, lighting controls or electrical estimating

- Hands-on experience designing and estimating Lutron and/or Crestron systems

- Strong knowledge of LED fixtures, drivers, dimming methods (DMX, DALI, 0-10V) and controls

- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu and Excel

- Available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM US Eastern Time

- Reliable internet and backup power
