By joining our team you'll:
Speak and write German and English fluently to be the voice of Holiday Extras, talking to our customers over the phone. Strong, adaptable and empathetic communication skills therefore are a must.
Use your excellent rapport-building and listening skills to quickly connect customers with products and services that enhance their holiday experience.
Become a product expert and brand ambassador, developing in-depth knowledge of our range of products and services.
Learn and use cutting-edge tech, including your own Apple Macbook from day 1, as well as access to the Google Workspace suite and other apps. If you’ve never used these before - we’ll show you how.

What you can bring to our team:
You are an effective communicator with a warm, friendly, inviting and engaging tone of voice, with the ability to adapt and tailor your approach to each customer.
A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to different products, customers and scenarios.
Reliability and a self-reliant way of working
Experience working in a sales and service-oriented environment, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.
If you choose to work remotely, you must have cabled broadband at home and a suitable private working space. So that we can provide the best service to our customers, 4G mobile routers are not suitable for this role.
Prior contact centre experience is not necessary although we’re ideally looking for people who:
have previously worked in a customer-facing role
thrive in a fast-paced environment
have a great attention to detail
care about providing an effortless experience to our customers
have no trouble multitasking
We’re looking for German speaking agents but further foreign language skills are an advantage - particularly French and Dutch

Hours
On a full-time basis, you would work 37.5 hours per week, being scheduled for shifts across our opening hours (Monday - Friday 8am-6pm & one Saturday a month 9am-2pm)
Our aim is to be as inclusive as possible, we welcome full-time and part-time candidates who can work shifts to meet the needs of our customers. This will include some Saturdays. You'll work 4 Saturdays in a 12-week rota, so roughly 1 every 3 weeks.
You will need to be able to attend a 2-week full-time induction. This is super important as it has been purpose-built and designed to give you the knowledge and confidence you need to be successful in the role.
Rotas are given out 8 weeks in advance so you have plenty of time to plan ahead and enjoy your free time.
How we hire for this role
If we believe you might be a match, you'll enter our hiring process as follows:
Initial telephone call with a member of our recruitment team so we can get to know you a little better.
You will then be invited to an interview with the manager of our German Contact Centre team. This normally takes around an hour and will be held online. It's a great opportunity to find out about the role and for us to learn more about your skills and experience and what you can expect working with us.
