About the Engineering Team
The Engineering team is a team of problem solvers that executes the product strategy to address the challenge of accelerating improvements in student outcomes. Our users are education leaders at schools, districts, and nonprofits who use our app, Innoâ„¢, to make data-driven decisions, develop strategic plans, and collaborate with their teams to implement their plans. Now, the team wants to improve the user experience of existing features, use emerging technologies to guide our users to succeed, and onboard new segments of users to create the supporting ecosystem our education leaders need to thrive and reach their organization's goals. The ideal Jr. Full Stack Engineer enjoys learning, is a quality leader, shares knowledge with team members, is proactive and anticipates challenges, provides innovative solutions, and works collaboratively across the company to enable our product-led growth strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of scalable software components, product architecture, and solution design in alignment with the product vision
Lead technology innovation projects, such as proof of concepts, pilots, and other assigned projects
Ensure product requirements from stakeholders are well understood by the engineering team to design solutions, verify dependencies, estimate effort, plan development, and communication flows back to stakeholders on timeline and expectations.
Spearhead improvements in DevOps processes, implementing robust CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and reduced downtime.
Establish and enforce engineering standards to elevate product quality, maintainability, and team collaboration.
Champion initiatives to improve product and data security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product features, aligning with customer needs and industry trends.
Take a lead role in refining the product roadmap, working diligently to deliver on time and within budget constraints.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.
Conduct regular code reviews and contribute to the development and maintenance of coding standards.
Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry best practices, and security standards, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in scalable web application development.
Expertise in React, Node, Python, and Google Cloud Platform
Proven experience in improving DevOps processes and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Strong background in establishing and enforcing engineering standards.
Experience in enhancing product security and implementing data protection measures.
Expertise in AI and machine learning technologies
Experience in building ELT data pipelines in cloud environments
Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Experience working in a startups with fluid and dynamic environments
