About the Role
Do you want to work with one of the world leaders in grant consultancy? Join is and help us change the world for the better, one grant at a time. You will work at the cutting edge of science and technology, working with pioneering companies, leading research centers and world class universities to push the boundaries of what is possible. You will help to solve the most difficult and pressing problems in the world today, from climate change to an aging population, from sustainable transport to smart cities to name just a few. You will work among a small team of experienced consultants to secure grant funding for medium and large collaborative projects (around 5M€ - 100M€). Making use of your prior experience, and with opportunities to learn and grow, you will co-ordinate, assemble and write innovation proposals, including sections on state of the art, IP, business and work plans and financials. You will also be involved in setting up and building the consortia. This is the perfect role for those looking to bridge the gap between academia and private industry, particularly those interested in disruptive innovation, breakthrough science and technology, financing, and business modelling. Responsibilities
Coordinating and managing all aspects of the Innovation Fund application.
Securing grant funding for your clients by writing, and winning, EU innovation proposals with a focus on the Innovation Fund.
Gathering information, market research, providing technical knowledge and review sections relative to the proposal.
Defining key ideas, concepts, and provide creative solutions with the client.
Defining work plans, deliverables, and proposal timelines.
Ensure the proposal is completed to the highest possible standards in time of the deadline.
Qualifications
PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or related field, or an Engineering Degree.
Required Skills
Experience with writing for the Innovation Fund Program.
Having won at least one Innovation Fund project
At least 2 years' work experience in a technical or a consultancy role.
Preferred Skills
Track record securing grants for high TRL projects (EIC Accelerator, Life Program IA Thematic Priorities)
Knowledge about the EU's ETS.
Knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation methodologies: business model innovation, design thinking, lean startup, agile methodology.
Green House Gas emissions calculations.
Financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis
Experience in energy-intensive/ hard-to-abate industries including but not limited to steel, cement, petrochemicals, and the shipping industry – experience either as a consultant or for a company in design engineering, operations, and maintenance.
Ability to assess financial strategy and business models, work with Business Plans, ability to challenge assumptions.
Languages
English (C1 or above).
Spanish (C1 or above).
Another European language would be a plus.
