Operations Analyst / Operations Team Member

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Analyst / Operations Team Member to join our growing team at Freedx, a fast-growing centralised crypto exchange. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and contributing to process improvements.

As member of the Operations Team, you will be responsible for executing core operational tasks, monitoring platform activity, assisting in reconciliations, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain efficiency, compliance, and user satisfaction. You will play a crucial role in ensuring Freedx operates seamlessly and effectively as it continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Operations Support:

  • Assist in managing the daily operational processes, including transaction processing, deposits, withdrawals, and trading operations.

  • Monitor platform activity to identify and escalate operational bottlenecks or technical issues.

  • Ensure trading and liquidity operations run smoothly, supporting senior operations staff with monitoring and issue resolution.

Custody Operations & Asset Security:

  • Assist in the secure processing of digital asset deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, ensuring all transactions follow custody protocols.

  • Monitor custody workflows to ensure that assets are safeguarded and correctly reconciled.

  • Support the implementation and execution of custody standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Assist in verifying and reviewing custody transactions for accuracy, security, and compliance with internal controls.

  • Work with compliance teams to ensure custody operations align with AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements.

Process Execution & Improvement:

  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all core operational activities and contribute to their refinement.

  • Work with senior operations staff to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in workflows and automation.

  • Document operational processes and assist in maintaining up-to-date SOPs.

Reconciliation & Financial Support:

  • Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of transactions, fees, and settlements.

  • Work closely with the finance team to identify and resolve discrepancies in transactional data.

  • Support liquidity monitoring and reconciliation efforts across trading pairs.

Compliance & Risk Management Support:

  • Ensure that all operational activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.

  • Support KYC/AML checks in collaboration with the compliance team.

  • Assist in risk management initiatives, helping identify and escalate potential vulnerabilities.

Customer Support Assistance:

  • Work closely with the customer support team to investigate and resolve user issues related to transactions and platform operations.

  • Monitor customer queries and operational support tickets, escalating critical issues as needed.

  • Identify trends in user feedback to support process improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify operational needs and provide business requirements for new features.

  • Work alongside marketing and business development teams to support campaigns, promotions, and user engagement efforts.

  • Assist the compliance and legal teams in aligning operations with applicable regulations.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, platform reliability, and customer satisfaction.

  • Assist in preparing reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Utilise data analytics to support forecasting and resource planning for operational needs.

Requirements

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in operations, finance, reconciliation, or trading support, preferably in crypto, fintech, or financial services.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and familiarity with data analytics tools.

Knowledge of Crypto & Trading: Understanding of digital assets, trading mechanics, and exchange operations is a plus.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and escalate problems efficiently.

Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies in transactions and data.

Team Player: Strong collaboration skills to work across teams, supporting compliance, finance, and product teams.

Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication to document processes and coordinate with internal teams.
