Senior Software Architect/Developer
Hi, I'm Christoph, Co-Founder of JETPLAN. We bring mobile and collaborative planning to the electrical trades. Our cloud app allows electricians to digitize their planning processes and keep all project participants on the same page.
Our team consists of two founders and we're located in Stuttgart, Germany. We serve customers across the German-speaking part of Europe.
To elevate our product to the next level, we are searching for an experienced Software Architect/Developer with a focus on the backend.
Why Should You Join Our Team?
This is a great opportunity to work with an early-stage B2B software company:
You will be joining a small, dedicated, and passionate team where your experience and skills can make a difference in the business trajectory.
You will work on interesting problems, mainly focused on developing new features using a modern tech stack (TypeScript and React).
You get to take ownership in shaping the technical infrastructure of our SaaS application (GCP).
Your work has an impact by making electricians more capable and efficient in their day-to-day tasks.
We’ve written more about what it’s like to work at JETPLAN here.
Responsibilities and Day-to-Day
As our first permanent hire, you will be in demand for both conceptual design/architecture and implementation. You will be in charge of the Backend, so your top priority will be to handle all backend-related issues and ensure the security and reliability of our application.
In addition, you will conceptualize, plan, and implement new features, as well as expedite different aspects of the software development process.
You have 5+ years of professional experience in the design, operation, and development of software products, preferably also in a small SaaS company.
You have professional experience working with cloud-based architectures and services (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).
You are proficient in NodeJS, Typescript, and React.
You have a passion for automating the development process through CI/CD.
You have a flair for good software design but are not afraid to find pragmatic solutions.
You can manage your time and workload well, pull the information needed, and provide realistic estimates.
You’re reliable with a sense of ownership and clear communication, and generally easy to work with in a fast-moving team.
You enjoy leaving a document trail so others can learn and follow your lead.
You are interested in our domain 🔌. Prior knowledge of civil engineering or CAD is a plus.
Fluent English, both oral and written, is a must. Knowledge of German is a plus.
We prefer this role not to be entirely remote. Therefore, if you are based in southern Germany or are willing to relocate, that would be great. But if you feel that this position is perfect for you and you speak German or fluent English, you are welcome to apply for a remote job.
You don't have to fulfill every item on this list 1:1 - learning new topics is part of our culture. Passion over knowledge.
Competitive salary package with an option for employer-funded pension
Flexible and family-friendly schedule
Hybrid workplace with an option to change to full remote
5 weeks of PTO (and major holidays off)
If This Resonates With You - Come Work With Us!
At JETPLAN, we strongly believe in diversity and equality and thus encourage people from all backgrounds, abilities, experiences, and ages to apply.
