About the position
We are looking for a tech-savvy Sales Development Representative who can help grow our business in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech arena which includes competitive intelligence tracking, Key Opinion Leader tracking, and other Market Research information services.
Must be available during some US business hours and speak fluent English. Exceptional email writing skills required! Previous B2B Inside Sales experience or life science education is a plus. We are looking for a versatile, team player to support internal & external sales initiatives including prospecting for new business accounts on behalf of Account Executives, note-taking, and sales admin tasks. The ideal candidate would have the growth potential to become an Account Executive.
Responsibilities:
Outbound Prospecting (75%), including, but not limited to:
Business Development using LinkedIn, email, and phone
Salesforce.com data entry and maintenance
Appointment setting
Note-taking and meeting prep
Administrative (10%), including, but not limited to:
Logistical support during conferences or sales trips (once travel resumes)
Market research & competitor analyses
Other (15%), including, but not limited to:
Assist Marketing with copy and input/feedback on initiatives where useful including web, inbound, presentations, and social media
Ad hoc projects
Desired Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently and primarily during US business hours
Must have some flexibility outside traditional business hours (early mornings or nights)
Exceptional attention to detail (names, grammar, typos, time zones, etc.)
College degree in life science discipline preferred, not required
Must own a smartphone, computer, and have reliable internet
Proficiency in MS Office (we are PowerPoint, Excel, MS Outlook heavy) and Salesforce (bonus)
We are tech-forward and expect staff to be adept at learning and utilizing new platforms on a frequent basis
Candidates with a successful track record in B2B Sales highly encouraged

Compensation:
Competitive base salary plus commission. Our current compensation package does not include Medical-Dental-Vision benefits at this time.
