Executive Producer (Founding Team Member)
About Us
At Longdue, we make narrative-first, psychologically deep RPGs.
Our focus is real depth—in our characters, environments, and the stories we tell. We’re here to challenge your choices and morality—everything you think you know. We’re here to make games where decisions matter and have consequences. We're building on the legacy of foundational story-driven RPGs and joining the modern classics as we step into the future.
Our goal is simple: be a trusted name in the greater RPG canon. We’re Longdue, and we’re here to leave our mark.
About the Role
We’re looking for an Executive Producer who thrives in the messiness of early-stage game development — someone who can take a strong creative vision and help turn it into a shippable, standout game. This is a rare opportunity to join Longdue as a founding team member and take full ownership of the production pipeline on a major narrative-driven RPG.
You’ll be the engine behind our development process — setting up workflows, unblocking teams, aligning creative and technical efforts, and helping us get from concept to launch (and beyond). You’ll work closely with the studio leads and narrative team to help shape not just the game, but the future of the studio itself.
This role isn’t for someone who needs a big team or established pipelines. It’s for someone who builds those things — someone who’s comfortable with ambiguity, able to get things moving, and excited to help define how we work, ship, and grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee Production: Manage the production timeline from concept to launch on console and PC, ensuring efficient development at all stages.
Recruitment & Team Building: Play an active role in recruiting and onboarding key team members, helping to build a talented and cohesive studio team.
Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the founding team to steer the project through its lifecycle and ensure smooth development.
Shape Studio Culture: Help establish a positive, collaborative, and productive studio culture, ensuring alignment on goals and creative vision.
Manage Scope & Milestones: Oversee the project’s scope, backlog, and milestone deliverables, ensuring all key deadlines are met.
Risk Identification & Problem Solving: Proactively identify risks and take the necessary steps to ensure development stays on track.
Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear, consistent communication across all departments, aligning the team with the project goals.
Coordinate Contractors & Partners: Manage relationships with contractors and other third-party collaborators to meet milestones.
Studio Strategy & Long-term Planning: Help develop a broader studio strategy, including fundraising, external partnerships, and long-term growth initiatives.
Adapt & Evolve: Be flexible and adaptable, comfortable managing uncertainty and evolving priorities as the studio grows.
Requirements
We’re looking for an experienced, proactive leader with a solid track record in game development.
Indie/Startup Game Production Experience: You’ve worn many hats in a lean team and know how to scale from chaos to clarity. You’ve led the charge on a shipped title or have been a core force in taking an indie game from concept to launch — ideally on both PC and console.
Hands-On Publishing Knowledge: You’ve helped self-publish a game or navigated the publishing process with minimal support. You understand platform requirements, certification, and what it takes to go live without a giant publisher behind you.
Shipped Game(s): You’ve shipped at least one commercial game on PC and console, and can talk us through your role in getting it out the door.
Full Pipeline Familiarity: You know how localisation, QA, submission, and build processes actually work because you’ve been in the trenches making them happen — not just overseeing them.
Builder of Teams & Culture: You’re a leader who can motivate, mentor, and manage a growing team — but you’re also not afraid to roll up your sleeves and help get things done when needed.
Organised in the Chaos: You’re fluent in agile workflows, capable of building just enough process to keep things moving. You’ve likely used tools like Google, Miro, or similar to keep everyone on the same page.
Problem-Solver & Self-Starter: You’re the kind of person who sees blockers and finds paths through them. You don’t wait for permission — you figure it out, rally others, and make things happen.
Benefits
Creative Freedom: We foster an environment where your unique voice and vision can shape a groundbreaking RPG.
Thought-Provoking Project: Help create a game that challenges conventions, offers a deep philosophical experience, and invites players to explore not only a mysterious world but also the depths of the human psyche.
Flexible Working: We are a remote-first studio, offering you the freedom to work from wherever inspiration strikes.
