VFX Producer

The VFX Producer works closely with the VFX Supervisors and production teams in managing all aspects of a project. This involves planning and scheduling of facility resources, managing the visual effects team, liaising with the client, and maintaining strong relationships with the client and crew. Reporting to the Senior VFX Producer in Melbourne, Luma is looking to hire an energetic, organised and experienced Producer to join our growing team.

You Can

  • Plan and schedule facility resources with the VFX Supervisor and Digital Production Manager

  • Ensure the progression of work is to the client's satisfaction

  • Communicate with clients, editorial, artists and in-house management

  • Create scheduling targets and supervise the daily assignment to individual artists

  • Work closely with the bidding team to establish scope of work and change orders

  • Maintain adherence to set Production contract standards

  • Act decisively to quickly provide clarity and direction from a mass of project data

  • Set and own client communication standards, adding value to the relationship through collaboration, providing assurance on all aspects of the project as required

  • Take action towards profit generation, and the promotion of Luma as a vendor and employer

  • Lead by example. Manage and mentor the visual effects and Production team, cultivating an environment of professionalism and accountability.

You Have

  • A minimum of 3 years VFX Producer experience across live action feature films.

  • A thorough knowledge of MS Office; particularly Excel (an understanding of Project is also beneficial )

  • Proven strategic and project management experience across all areas of visual effects

  • A thorough understanding of all aspects of the VFX workflow

  • Been capable of motivating and leading a large team with enthusiasm and clarity

  • High level problem solving skills

  • The ability to adapt to change

  • Extremely detail oriented, calm and well organised

  • Clear and methodical planning and communication with artists, supervisors and clients

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to operate with a high degree of professionalism and control within a pressurized, time-sensitive working environment

  • Knowledge of Ftrack or Shotgun preferred
