Full-Time Software Developer (Shopify Developer)

We are a fast-growing marketing agency managing a diverse portfolio of initiatives across operations, marketing, and client-facing projects. With a high volume of work moving in parallel, strong systems, communication, and execution are critical to our success.

We need a confident, high-speed developer to join our team. Note: this will be a full time position and the work must be done by the one applying to the position, not someone at their agency. Our interview process involves a live coding session where the applicant must be able to share their screens and code a simple custom Shopify section using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript).

This role is primarily dedicated to expert-level theme and section development rather than backend app development. We need someone who is exceptionally fast and confident in the Liquid/Theme layer.

Responsibilities:

• Create pixel-perfect websites from Figma designs to Shopify using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Create sections with custom code on the Shopify Dawn theme

• Use VS Code and Shopify CLI for development

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code

• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve reliability and performance.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Ability to learn quickly and adhere to company standards.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent teamwork abilities.

• Strong communication skills.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Git and independently resolving complex merge conflicts.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically coding Shopify Liquid.

• Evidence that Shopify is your primary focus, with specific experience in Shopify Plus environments.

• Minimum of 3+ year of experience with Shopify CLI.

• Advanced experience creating and retrieving data using metafields and metaobjects.

Beneficial Experience/Skills:

• Prior experience in high-growth startup environments is a significant advantage.

• Experience with React, Tailwind, and modern browser specifications like web components.

• Experience with GraphQL.
