Multimedia Creative Lead

The Multimedia Creative Lead will play a critical role in driving creativity and visual excellence helping to boost engagement across our B2C and B2B verticals and beyond. Following the creative team’s processes and utilizing the Creative Project Manager, this position will create initial designs that will be replicated or versioned with other resources. Innovation and creativity are high values for this role.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000 annually. Individual base pay may vary within that range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, department equity, training, geography, and local wage and hours laws.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborative Creative Direction and Strategy

·         Collaborate with the creative team and marketing stakeholders to develop and execute visually compelling multimedia designs that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.

·         Conceptualize and plan, often with others on the creative team, the visual elements of B2C, B2B, and client advertisements.

Multimedia Design Leadership

·         Provide guidance and feedback to others on the creative team giving special attention to accessibility and best practices to ensure high-quality design outputs that consistently meet deadlines.

·         Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Consumer Engagement

·         Deliver innovative, cutting-edge design solutions across various platforms to retain and engage existing customers

·         Work collaboratively with others on the Central Marketing Team to ensure the optimization of creative engagement efforts

·         Design captivating and personalized email templates that resonate with target audiences, driving customer engagement and conversion rates.

·         Optimize email layouts, graphics, and visuals to enhance the overall user experience and maximize asset performance.

B2B Design

·         Create visually appealing graphics and assets for B2B marketing materials, presentations, and collateral, supporting the sales and business development teams.

·         Collaborate with external clients and/or CSS to understand their design needs and deliver compelling advertisements for our owned and operated media platforms.

·         Ensure that client designs maintain a balance between brand consistency and the client's unique messaging and aesthetic preferences.

·         Motion graphics and video editing specifically for marketing strategy

Brand Compliance and Quality Assurance

·         Ensure that all multimedia designs adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across various projects and platforms.

·         Conduct thorough quality checks on design deliverables to guarantee accuracy and excellence.

Stay Current with Design Trends and Technology

·         Stay informed about industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative ideas into multimedia designs.

·         Continuously explore and implement tools and software that enhance the design process and team efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

·         Proven experience in multimedia design, with a focus on consumer acquisition email campaigns and B2B graphic design.

·         Strong blend of artistic vision, technical expertise, and exceptional knowledge-sharing skills to deliver captivating, innovative, and on-brand multimedia content. 

·         Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role, guiding and inspiring design teams.

·         Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

·         Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and how they apply to multimedia design.

·         A robust portfolio showcasing a diverse range of multimedia projects and design styles.  

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts effectively.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

·         Understanding of marketing principles and the ability to align design concepts with marketing objectives.

·         Familiarity with HTML/CSS and email marketing platforms is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; preferably in graphic design, marketing, or the equivalent education, experience, skills and knowledge needed to perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position.

·         Minimum qualifications:  Eight years of experience in field or in comparable fields, Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university preferred; computer skills.
