The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Thumbnail Designer to join our content team and help drive performance through high-impact, click-worthy thumbnails. You will be responsible for producing bold, simple, and visually compelling thumbnails optimized for YouTube growth. This role will start part-time, with the opportunity to expand as the channel continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

- Design custom thumbnails for YouTube videos, following our brand voice while pushing creative boundaries.

- Apply deep knowledge of YouTube click psychology to maximize CTR.

Create clean, bold compositions that instantly grab attention.

- Use Photoshop for high-level compositing, masking, retouching, and color correction.

- Use AI tools (e.g. Midjourney, Firefly) as part of your workflow to enhance design output.

- Stay up-to-date with YouTube trends and continually test and improve designs based on performance data.

- Collaborate closely with our team to iterate quickly and implement feedback.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong portfolio showcasing thumbnail design work (YouTube thumbnails highly preferred).

- Expert proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.

- Deep understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and click-through psychology.

- Ability to produce eye-catching designs with fast turnaround times.

- Familiarity with YouTube algorithm, trends, and best practices.

- Experience analyzing CTR and thumbnail performance data.

- Ability to balance creative design with data-driven improvements.

- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).

- Open to feedback and able to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice to Have

- Experience working with fast-growth YouTube channels.

- Knowledge of AI tools like Midjourney, Firefly, or similar.

- Experience working with content related to AI, entrepreneurship, or business.
