Staff Writer

About the Role

We’re looking for a staff writer to support our content team by creating everything from top-converting blog articles and social media posts to YouTube scripts.

As our staff writer, you’ll be responsible for writing daily content across all platforms. You will report to the Lead Editor and Content Marketing Manager to create SEO and conversion-focused pieces.

It’s okay if you don’t have experience directly in the moving industry, as long as you have the writing and research chops we are looking for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write day-to-day content, which may include a variety of content types, such as blog posts, social media posts, and email newsletters

  • Conduct research and make it a priority to learn the moving industry inside and out

  • Be flexible and willing to write a variety of pieces, including first-person reviews

  • Stay on top of trends to increase conversions and create relevant content our readers are looking for

  • Uphold standard journalism ethics and create high-quality content that offers value to our customers

  • Adhere to moveBuddha style guidelines and best practices

Requirements

  • Native English speaker

  • Minimum 3 years of writing experience

  • Solid SEO knowledge and experience with CRO

  • Proficient in Google Suite, WordPress, and project management software (we use ClickUp)

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Availability for weekly meetings with the entire team and monthly check-ins with the direct manager

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience in the moving industry (as a customer support agent, professional mover, etc)

  • Experience writing in the affiliate marketing space

  • Journalism background
